Dear ECC Families,
It is really December although the temperatures are mild and our students are
continuing to enjoy the park. We have only one and a half weeks left until winter
break and we will be using each of the remaining days to continue with our
academic programs. This coming week, we are excited about Frosty the
Snowman visiting each classroom to take a group photo. The PTO will be sending
home this gift for your child on Friday, Dec. 18th. A big “Thank You” to our PTO for
this generous gift.
We hope you have saved the evening of December 21st to attend the ECC winter
Concert. Each classroom will be performing and there will be a raffle of holiday
gift baskets during the intermission. You will also be able to order a DVD of the
evening’s performance.
Mrs. Gentile is our ECC Staff Star of the Week. Mrs. Gentile is the new ECC
Kindergarten Reading Assistant for Kindergarten, and although it is her first year
here, she has been a teacher for over 20 years. Mrs. Gentile plans a stimulating
variety of language arts activities for her students daily and she loves seeing
children grow and learn so much throughout the year! She was born and went to
school in Cheektowaga, New York, but enjoys living in the Midwest. She is looking
forward to winter break and spending time with her daughter who currently
works in Disneyland at the Bippity Bop Café.
Our Kindergarten Stars of the Week are- Ayden Molina, Elina Sulo, Baneen Al
Sormeeri, Layla Morales, Abigail Comparan, Alexandria Butler and Javier Herrera.
Our Prek Stars of the Week are- Max Kirschke, Nick Deanda, Carmine Zivojnovic,
Sebastian Swiderski, Mason Smid and Joud Khalil.

Estimadas familias del Centro ECC,
Ya es diciembre! Nuestro año se acerca rápidamente a las vacaciones de invierno.
Ahora que tenemos nieve y lluvia, animamos a los estudiantes a venir a la escuela
con botas y ponerse un par de zapatos secos al llegar. Por favor, en la casa tratan
de practicar por algún tiempo ponerse y quitarse las botas, los guantes y
chaquetas con su hijo. Todos los estudiantes se benefician de sentirse
independiente y exitosos en estas rutinas diarias.
Nuestra reunión de PTO estuvo muy concurrida. Los oficiales del PTO dieron una
actualización de la recaudación de fondos palomitas de gran éxito. También
estamos pidiendo a las familias a donar un objeto pequeño para las cestas que se
rifaron durante nuestro concierto de invierno el lunes 21 de diciembre a las 6 pm
en la Escuela John Mills. En el correo de hoy también estamos enviando el
formulario de pedido si desea un DVD del concierto de invierno. Las copias son de
$ 15 y se entregarán en enero.
La Biblioteca Publica de Elmwood Park ha planeado muchas actividades para el
mes incluyendo películas, conciertos a coro y la escritura de cartas a San Nicolas.
Pase por inscribirse en alguno de estos programas especiales y para prestar unos
libros durante la vacaciones escolares.
Tenga en cuenta que las vacaciones de invierno de este año comenzarán el jueves
24 de diciembre. Nuestro último día de clases será el miércoles 23 de diciembre.
Clases se reanudará el jueves 7 de enero.
La maestra Tara Egan Harris es muy emocionada de ser la Estrella de la Semana!
Este es su segundo año como la trabajadora social ennuestra escuela, y ha
disfrutado llegar a conocer a los estudiantes y familias aquí. Antes de tener una
hja, la señora Harris trabajó en la Cooperativa Leyden Área de Educación Especial
(LASEC), que incluye Elmwood Park como uno de sus once distritos, y se siente
afortunada de haber trabajado dentro de nuestra comunidad desde 2010. A
finales de este invierno, la señora Harris, su esposo y su niña, Lily, estaran danda
la bienvenida a dos niños gemelos a su familia.
Nuestras Estrellas de Kindergarten de la Semana son - Eduardo Reyes, Miajolene
Martínez, Ciro Lofton, Romeo García, Ray Salas Jr., Daniel Mustabelli, y Matthew
Cygan.
Nuestras PreK Estrellas de la Semana son- Joycelynn Reyes, Mikayla Schmitt,
Abriella Rocha, Kaja Soja, Michael Reeves y Adriana Canedo.

Drodzy Rodzice,
Patrzac za okno trudno w to uwierzyc, ale na dobre zagoscil juz w kalendarzu
miesiac grudzien. Dzieki lagodnym temperaturom nasi uczniowie ciagla maja
szczescie korzystac z placu zabaw! Tymczasem juz za tydzien i pol rozpoczniemy
zimowa przerwe. Kazdy z pozostalych dni wykorzystamy w szkole na kontynuacje
programu nauczania. W zblizajacym sie tygodniu uczniowie beda tez mieli okazje
spotkac sie i zrobic grupowe zdjecie z Balwankiem Frosty. Nasza organizacja PTO
przygotowuje tez kazdemu dziecku upominek i wysle go z dzieckiem do domu w
dniu 18 grudnia. Wysylamy w strone PTO wielkie „dziekuje” za ta wspaniala
niespodzianke.
Mamy nadzieje, ze zarezerwowali Panstwo wieczor, 21 grudnia, na coroczny
Zimowy Koncert ECC. W programie biora udzial wszystkie grupy naszej szkoly, a
oprocz wystepow w trakcie przerwy w koncercie badzie miala miejsce loteria
fantowa. Beda tez Panstwo mieli okazje zamowic DVD z nagraniem wieczornego
przedstawienia.
Gwiazda Tygodnia wsrod pracownikow szkoly jest pani Gentile. Pani Gentile jest
nowa asystentka programu nauki czytania w klasach zerowych w ECC. Jest z nami
pierwszy rok, ale juz od ponad dwudziestu lat jest nauczycielem. Codziennie pani
Gentile planuje szereg ciekawych cwiczen w zakresie nauki czyatnia dla naszych
zerowkowiczow i z radoscia obserwuje postepy w nauce i ogromny progres w
ciagu roku szkolnego! Pani Gentile urodzila sie i chodzila do szkoly w
Cheektowaga, w stanie Nowy Jork, ale lubi takze mieszkac na srodkowym
zachodzie. Z niecierpliwoscia oczekuje na zimowa przerwe i mozliwosc spedzania
czasu z corka, ktora obecnie pracuje w Disneyland w kawiarni Bippity Bop Café.
