Dear ECC Families,
What a great Halloween Week! Our Spooky (Silly) Story night was a great success. In addition
to many of our ECC Teachers reading favorite holiday stories, we also enjoyed author Amy
Logan reading from her new book, A Girl with a Cape. A big “Thanks!” to our PTO for cosponsoring this event. Mrs. Logan also read her story aloud to our students during daytime
assemblies. Ask your child about this wonderful story of a child whose words and actions have
a profound effect on others.
Please plan on attending our November PTO meeting this Monday from 11 am to noon in our
All Purpose room. The PTO Popcorn fundraiser was a huge success, and now our hardworking
officers are planning the fall Scholastic Bookfair and the Winter Concert Raffle. Come out and
get involved with this great group of parents.
ECC teachers are looking forward to meeting with all parents for our fall parent student
conferences. If you need to confirm your conference time, please contact your teacher or call
our office. These conferences offer an excellent opportunity to learn about your child’s
strengths and areas where we can work together to support your child’s success.
Our Kindergarten Stars of the Week are-Tommy Dyra, Matias Uruchima, Zachary Everett,
Sophia Esterday, Eric Mendoza Jr., Hind Allan, and Heiley Martinez.
Our PreK stars of the Week are -Frankie Gilbert, Ben Villa, Jayden Wallace, Adam Para, Hunter
Lopez, Axel Colindres, and Emily Steiber.
Mrs. Bocka is our Teacher Star of the Week. This is Mrs. Bocka’s 13th year teaching her favorite
grade level, Kindergarten at the ECC. Mrs. Bocka and her husband live in Elmwood Park. Their
four children graduated from EPHS and went on to universities in Illinois. Mrs. Bocka loves to
travel, be outdoors, laugh, and READ!

Estimadas Familias del Centro ECC,
¡Qué semana tan maravillosa de Halloween! Nuestra Noche de Historias Misteriosas (graciosas) fue
todo un éxito. Además de varias de nuestras maestras del Centro ECC que leyeron su historia favorita
de la festividad, disfrutamos de la autora Amy Logan, quien leyó su nuevo libro, Girl with a Cape.
Muchísimas Gracias a nuestros padres de la PTO por co-auspiciar este evento. La Señora Logan también
leyó su historia en alto a nuestros estudiantes durante las asambleas en el día. Por favor interrogue a su
hijo sobre esta historia tan maravillosa de una niña que con sus palabras y acciones tiene un efecto
profundo en otros.
Por favor haga planes asistir a la reunión de la PTO de noviembre que será este lunes de 11 am – 12 pm
en el cuarto multiusos. La actividad para recolección de la PTO de palomitas fue un gran éxito, y ahora
nuestros trabajosos oficiales están planeando la feria de otoño de Libros Escolares y la Rifa del Concierto
de Invierno. Por favor venga y hágase parte de este maravilloso de padres.
Las maestras del Centro ECC están deseosas de poderse reunir con todos los padres para las
conferencias de padres y maestros de otoño. Si usted necesita confirmar su tiempo de conferencia, por
favor llame a su maestra o llame a nuestra oficina. Estas conferencias ofrecen una oportunidad
excelente de aprender sobre las áreas fuertes de su niño/a y las áreas donde podemos trabajar juntos
para apoyar el éxito de su niño/a.

La Señora Bocka es nuestra maestra Estrella de La Semana. La Señora Mrs. Bocka, lleva 13 años
ensenando en su grado de nivel favorito, el Kindergarten, aquí en el Centro ECC. La Señora Bocka y su
esposo viven aquí en Elmwood Park. Sus cuatro hijos se graduaron de EPHS y asistieron a universidades
en Illinois. ¡A la Señora Bocka le encanta viajar, estar al aire libre, reír y LEER!

Drodzy Rodzice,
Co za udany tydzien halloweenowy! Noc Strasznych ( Smiesznych) Historii zakonczyla sie duzym
sukcesem. Oprocz wielu nauczycieli ECC prezentujacych swoje ulubione halloweenowe
ksiazeczki, wieczor uswietnila autorka, Amy Logan, ktora przeczytala swoja ksiazke dla dzieci pt.
Girl with a Cape. Wielkie „dziekuje” przesylamy w strone PTO za wspolfinansowanie tego
wydarzenia. Pani Logan wystapila tez przed naszymi uczniami w czasie zajec szkolnych. Prosze
zapytac dziecko o bohaterke jej opowiadania, dziewczynke, ktorej slowa i dzialania mialy wplyw
na zycie innych ludzi.
Prosze zaplanowac udzial w najblizszym spotkaniu organizacji PTO, ktore odbedzie sie w
najblizszy poniedzialek, o godzinie 11.00 w naszej klasie All Purpose. Sprzedaz popcornu
sponsorowana przez PTO zakonczyla sie wielkim sukcesem. Obecnie nasi rodzice przygotowuja
sie do pracy przy jesiennym Kiermaszu Ksiazek firmy Scholastic i do loterii fantowej w czasie
Koncertu Zimowego. Zapraszamy wszystkich rodzicow do pomocy.
Nauczyciele ECC z niecierpliwoscia oczekuja na spotkania z rodzicami w czasie jesiennych
wywiadowek. Jesli potrzebuja Panstwo potwierdzic date i godzine spotkania, prosze
skontaktowac sie z wychowawca Panstwa dziecka lub naszym biurem. Konferencje oferuja
rodzicom doskonala okazje do dowiedzenia sie, jaki material jest juz dziecku znany, a nad czym
nalezy jeszcze popracowac w szkole i w domu w celu umozliwienia dziecku sukcesu w nauce.
Swoj tydzien swietuja nastepujacy uczniowie: w klasach zerowych - Tommy Dyra, Matias
Uruchima, Zachary Everett, Sophia Esterday, Eric Mendoza Jr., Hind Allan i Heiley Martinez, a w
klasach przedszkolnych gwiazdami tygodnia sa: Frankie Gilbert, Ben Villa, Jayden Wallace, Adam
Para, Hunter Lopez, Axel Colindres i Emily Steiber.
Pani Bocka jest gwiazda tygodnia wsrod naszych nauczycieli. Ten rok jest 13-tym rokiem pracy
pani Bocka, pracy w ECC z jej ulubiona klasa – Kindergarten, czyli zerowka. Pani Bocka i jej maz
mieszkaja od lat w Elmwood Park. Ich czworo dzieci ukonczylo nauke w szkole sredniej, EPHS, w
Elmwood Park i wszystkie kontynuowaly nauke na uniwersytetach stanu Illinois. Pani Bocka
uwielbia podroze, spedzanie czasu na powietrzu, smiech, a przede wszystkim czytanie!
