Dear ECC Families,
It was a cold and busy week at the ECC.
We will be coming back next week for a very short week….school will be in session only Monday
and Tuesday, in honor of the Thanksgiving Holiday. There will be no newsletter next week.
We have many upcoming dates to put on your calendar.
On Monday, November 24th, the ECC PTO is sponsoring Dave Herzog’s Marionettes. This
puppet show is always a favorite with our students. This week you also received a letter from
our PTO asking you to donate a small item to include in the classroom baskets which the PTO
will assemble and raffle off at our Winter Concert. The PTO will be holding its next meetings in
December. On December 3rd, the meeting will be held during our middle of the day break, from
11:30 to 12:30. On December 4th, the PTO meeting will be held at 6:30 pm at the ECC.
This year’s winter concert will be held on Wednesday evening, December 10th, from 6 to 7 pm
at John Mills School, in the gymnasium. Mills School is located at 2824 N 76th Ave, Elmwood
Park. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase prior to our concert, and the raffle will be
held during the intermission.
You are invited to our District’s Community Closet on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 8:30 am to
10:30- hosted by our district social workers. Families may go to Mills School to pick out gently
used clothing.
Our Teacher Star of the Week is Mrs. Amy Jacquat. Mrs. Jacquat has been a teacher in
Elmwood Park for many years. She completed her student teaching here in our district 26 years
ago, so it is not uncommon for Mrs. Jacquat to have students in her classroom whose parents
were her students too! Mrs. Jacquat loves to travel with her family and enjoys unusual foods
like lychee fruit. Mrs. Jacquat is very excited about her new classroom pet, a Guinea Pig named
Blue!
Our Student Stars of the Week are - K Stars –Nico Paoletti, Isabel Rodriguez, Wiktoria Salata,
Aubrey Lopez, Lukas Cohen, Justin Guerrero and Jazmin Garcia Lopez. PreK Stars –Vinny De
Matteo, Leah Alvarado, Macdara McDonagh, Christian Preciado, Kaylee Reisberg, Julia
Uchanska.

Estimadas Familias del Centro ECC,
Esta fue una semana fría y muy ocupada para el Centro ECC.
La semana que viene regresaremos para una semana corta…. Las escuelas estarán abiertas solo el lunes
y el martes, en honor al Día de Acción de Gracias. No se les enviara la hoja de boletín la próxima
semana.
Tenemos varios días especiales futuros, para el que los añada a su calendario.
El lunes 24 de noviembre, la PTO del Centro ECC estará patrocinando Las Marionetas de Dave Herzog.
Este espectáculo de marionetas es siempre el favorito de nuestros estudiantes. Esta semana usted
también recibió una carta de nuestra PTO pidiéndole que si por favor pudiera donar un pequeño articulo
para incluirlo en la canasta de navidad que la PTO estará preparando para la rifa del nuestro Concierto
de Invierno. La PTO tendrá su próxima reunión en diciembre. El 3 de diciembre, la reunión se estará
llevando a cabo durante el receso de medio día, de 11:30 a 12:30. El 4 de diciembre, la reunión de la
PTO se llevara a cabo a las 6:30 pm en el Centro ECC.
Este ano el Concierto de Invierno se estará llevando a cabo el miércoles 10 de diciembre de 6 a 7 pm en
el gimnasio de la escuela John Mills. La escuela Mills está localizada en el 2824 N 76th Ave, Elmwood
Park. Los tickets de la Rifa estarán disponibles para venta antes del concierto y la Rifa se anunciara
durante la intermisión del programa.
Usted está invitado a venir al Ropero de la Comunidad del Distrito el lunes 3 de diciembre de 8:30 am a
10:30- auspiciado por nuestras trabajadoras sociales del distrito. Las familias pueden ir a la escuela
Mills, para a recoger ropa ligeramente usada.
Nuestra maestra Estrella de la Semana es la Señora Amy Jacquat. La Señora Jacquat ha sido maestra en
las escuelas del Distrito 401 de Elmwood Park, por varios años. ¡De hecho, no es raro que la Señora
Jacquat tenga estudiantes en su salón de clases, cuyos padres hayan sido sus estudiantes también! La
Señora Jacquat le fascina viajar con su familia y disfruta de comidas inusuales tales como la fruta Lychee.
¡La Señora Jacquat está muy emocionada por su nueva mascota en su salón de clases, un Cerdito Ginea
(Guinea Pig), llamado Blue!

Zakonczylismy zimowy i pelen roznych wydarzen tydzien w ECC. Po weekendzie wracamy do szkoly tylko
na dwa dni …..Zajecia szkolne odbeda sie w poniedzialek i wtorek, wszystko to w zwiazku ze Swietem
Dziekczynienia. Poniewaz tydzien bedzie w szkole wyjatkowo krotki nie bedziemy wysylac listu do
rodzicow.
W nadchodzacych tygodniach beda mialy miejsce rozne ciekawe wydarzenia.
W poniedzialek, 24 listopada, organizacja ECC PTO zaprasza na przedstawienie kukielkowe - Dave
Herzog’s Marionettes. Przedstawienie to jest zawsze jednym z ulubionych naszych uczniow. W
nastepnym tygodniu otrzymaja rowniez Panstwo list od PTO z prosba o podarowanie drobnego
upominku do wlozenia do koszyka z prezentami gromadzonego przez kazda klase w zwiazku ze
zblizajacym sie Zimowym Koncertem i loteria fantowa. PTO planuje nastepne spotkanie rodzicow i
nauczycieli w miesiacu grudniu. W dniu 3 grudnia spotkanie odbedzie sie w przerwie miedzy zajeciami
szkolnymi, w godzinach od 11:30 do 12:30. 4 grudnia PTO organizuje spotkanie o godzinie 6.30
wieczorem. Oba spotkania odbeda sie w budynku naszej szkoly.
Tegoroczny zimowy concert odbedzie sie we srode wieczorem, w dniu 10 grudnia, w godzinach od 6 do
7, w Sali gimnastycznej budynku szkoly podstawowej John Mills. Szkola John Mills miesci sie przy 2824 N
76th Ave w Elmwood Park. Zarowno przed jak i w trakcie koncertu nabyc bedzie mozna bilety na loterie
fantowa. Losowanie odbedzie sie w czasie przerwy.
Wszystkie rodziny zapraszamy we srode, 3 grudnia, od 8.30 dp 10.30 rano, na coroczna akcje District’s
Community Closet. W czasie tej akcji, organizowanej przez pracownikow socjalnych, rodziny beda mogly
wybrac lekko uzywane ubrania.
Gwiazda tygodnia z grona pedagogicznego jest pani Amy Jacquat. Pani Jacquat uczy w naszym
dystrykcie szkolnym w Elmwood Park juz od wielu lat. Zakonczyla wlasnie 26 rok pracy, wiec wcale nie
rzadko zdarza sie, ze ma w swojej klasie dzieci swoich uczniow! Pani Jacquat kocha podrozowanie ze
swoja rodzina i probowanie roznego ciekawego jedzenia takiego jak np. owoc lychee. Obecnie pani
Jacquat cieszy sie bardzo z nowego zwierzaka klasowego, swinki morskiej o imieniu Blue!
