Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every

9:00AM. Come at any time during this Holy Hour to pray
in the presence of the Eucharistic Lord. Benediction takes
place at 8:50 AM.

AN UPDATE ON OUR NEW WALKWAY
Once again, a heart felt “thank you” to all the pa-
rishioners and their families for a gradual but steady
flow of contributions to sponsor our newly completed walkway between the church and the rectory.
As of July 7th, we have raised $5600,00 for that purpose. This is already a one-third of the total cost

TODAY’S READINGS
First Reading - My word will achieve the end for which
it was sent (Isaiah 55:10-11).
Psalm - The seed that falls on good ground will yield a
fruitful harvest (Psalm 65).
Second Reading - We, who have the first fruits of the
Spirit, groan within ourselves awaiting the redemption of
our bodies (Romans 8:18-23).
Gospel - Some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit
(Matthew 13:1-23 [1-9]).
FEAST OF FAITH
Invitation to the Eucharistic Prayer
After the presider washes his hands, he turns to the
people and says, “Pray that our sacrifice may be
acceptable to God the almighty Father.” We have brought
forward bread and wine, and now we are asked to see in
these simple gifts upon the altar a sacrifice offered to
God. Our response is rich in theological meaning. “May
the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands.” The words
point to the unique role of the priest, whose hands, at his
ordination, were anointed for just this purpose: that he
might “sanctify the Christian people and offer sacrifice to
God” (Rite of Ordination). We ask God to accept our
sacrifice not because it is worthy of God, but simply “for
the praise and glory of his name.” God does not need our
offering, but allows us to give it so that we might grow in
holiness. And God, never to be outdone in generosity,
gives all that we have given back to us, “for our good and
the good of all his Church.” This Mass benefits not just
those who have gathered, but, in the mysterious economy
of grace, the whole Church. In the words of Saint Paul,
when one part rejoices, the whole body “shares its
joy” (1 Corinthians 12:26).
GOD’S WORDS
Each day we are bombarded with thousands of words.
From the moment our clock radios click on in the
morning, until the last moment of the day when the
television is turned off or someone bids us “good-night,”
our life is filled with words. Some words that we hear
bring news that leaves us feeling low. Some words lift our
spirits. Many of the words we hear are trying to get us to
buy something. Some words are hurtful. Today the
Church focuses our attention on hearing the word of God.
Are God’s words just more of the same - part of the
endless stream of words that flow into our ears each day?
The challenge today is to allow God’s word to inspire us
in new ways so that our outlook and attitudes align
themselves more closely with the heart and mind of Christ
Jesus.

Siewca wyszedł siać...
XV NIEDZIELA OKRESU ZWYKŁEGO
Tego dnia Jezus wyszedł z domu i usiadł nad
jeziorem. Wnet zebrały się koło Niego tłumy tak
wielkie, że wszedł do łodzi i usiadł, a cały lud stał na
brzegu. I mówił im wiele w przypowieściach tymi
słowami: Oto siewca wyszedł siać. A gdy siał niektóre
[ziarna] padły na drogę, nadleciały ptaki i wydziobały
je. Inne padły na miejsca skaliste, gdzie niewiele miały
ziemi; i wnet powschodziły, bo gleba nie była głęboka.
Lecz gdy słońce wzeszło, przypaliły się i uschły, bo nie
miały korzenia. Inne znowu padły między ciernie, a
ciernie wybujały i zagłuszyły je. Inne w końcu padły na
ziemię żyzną i plon wydały, jedno stokrotny, drugie
sześćdziesięciokrotny, a inne trzydziestokrotny. Kto ma
uszy, niechaj słucha! Przystąpili do Niego uczniowie i
zapytali: Dlaczego w przypowieściach mówisz do nich?
On im odpowiedział: Wam dano poznać tajemnice
królestwa niebieskiego, im zaś nie dano. Bo kto ma,
temu będzie dodane, i nadmiar mieć będzie; kto zaś nie
ma, temu zabiorą również to, co ma. Dlatego mówię do
nich w przypowieściach, że otwartymi oczami nie widzą
i otwartymi uszami nie słyszą ani nie rozumieją. (...)
Wy zatem posłuchajcie przypowieści o siewcy! Do
każdego, kto słucha słowa o królestwie, a nie rozumie
go, przychodzi Zły i porywa to, co zasiane jest w jego
sercu. Takiego człowieka oznacza ziarno posiane na
drodze. Posiane na miejsce skaliste oznacza tego, kto
słucha słowa i natychmiast z radością je przyjmuje; ale
nie ma w sobie korzenia, lecz jest niestały. Gdy
przyjdzie ucisk lub prześladowanie z powodu słowa,
zaraz się załamuje. Posiane między ciernie oznacza
tego, kto słucha słowa, lecz troski doczesne i ułuda
bogactwa zagłuszają słowo, tak że zostaje bezowocne.
Posiane w końcu na ziemię żyzną oznacza tego, kto
słucha słowa i rozumie je. On też wydaje plon: jeden
stokrotny,
drugi
sześćdziesięciokrotny,
inny

trzydziestokrotny.
REFLEKSJA NAD CZYTANIAMI NIEDZIELNYMI...
Istnieje ryzyko, że ziarno słowa Bożego pada na nie
najlepszy grunt naszych serc. Potrzeba z naszej
strony sporego wysiłku i wytrwałości, żeby do
swego życia słowo Boże i je zachować. Czasem
może nam się wydawać, że kiedy Bóg do nas mówi,
to jakby „rzucał grochem o ścianę”… Ale jest też
Jego obietnica, którą przypomina nam Izajasz:
„Słowo, które wychodzi z ust moich, nie wraca do
mnie bezowocnie, zanim wpierw nie dokona tego, co
chciałem, i nie spełni pomyślnie swego
posłannictwa”.

FIESTA DE LA FE
El dinero y otros dones
Durante la presentación de las ofrendas, junto con el
pan y el vino se trae la colecta. El pan y el vino se llevan
al altar y el dinero se queda en un lugar apropiado. San
Justino, en el siglo II, nos recuerda que al reunirnos a
celebrar la Eucaristía no podemos “dejar de pensar en los
pobres y necesitados”; este mismo dinero se da para “los
pobres o para la Iglesia” y “se considera también como
dones” (IGMR, 73). El dinero como don, no es sucio y
tiene mucho sentido compartirlo. No hay que compartir lo
que sobra, eso es limosna; la caridad como una
corresponsabilidad por el pobre y por las necesidades de
la Iglesia, sale desde el corazón. Damos a la Iglesia y a
los pobres de lo que tenemos para vivir. Lo damos como
agradecimiento por lo que hemos recibido. No damos
limosna al pobre para desentendernos de él, de sus
necesidades y luchas; vivimos la caridad con él o ella
como hermano que es, damos desde el corazón
interesándonos por su calidad de vida, por su necesidad
humana inmediata. Vivimos la caridad desde la
compasión, no desde la lástima como se hace con la
limosna. Dar limosna empobrece; vivir la caridad
enriquece, porque sale desde el corazón y, como la viuda
del Evangelio, damos cuanto tenemos para vivir.

LAS PALABRAS DE DIOS
Cada día somos bombardeados por miles de palabras.
Desde el momento en que suena el despertador en la
mañana, hasta el último momento del día cuando
apagamos el televisor o alguien nos dice “buenas noches”,
tenemos la vida llena de palabras. Algunas palabras nos
traen noticias que nos deprimen. Algunas palabras nos
levantan el espíritu. Muchas de las palabras que
escuchamos tratan de hacernos comprar algo. Algunas
palabras son hirientes. Hoy la Iglesia nos hace prestar
atención a la Palabras de Dios. ¿Son las Palabras de Dios
igual que las demás –parte de una corriente sin fin de
palabras que fluyen por nuestro oídos todos los días? El
reto hoy es permitir que las Palabras de Dios nos inspiren
renovando nuestra perspectiva y actitudes para que estén
en mayor consonancia con el corazón y la mente de Cristo
Jesús.
