SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM:
Baptism is celebrated each Sunday immediately after the
11:45 Mass. Registration and Parental instruction are required
before Baptism. Please call the Rectory for an appointment
several weeks before the desired date.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE:
Marriages are to be arranged at least six months in advance,
and prior to any social arrangements. Pre-Cana Conferences
required. Schedule is given during the first appointment with
the priest.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK & VISITATION OF THE SICK:
Please call the rectory to arrange for the Sacrament of the Sick
and Communion to be brought to the sick and shut- ins.

FAMILY CONNECTION
Today's celebration of the Feast of the Holy Family
highlights the importance of family in our religious
life. We know that Mary and Joseph's faithfulness to
God enabled them to cooperate in God's plan for our
salvation by accepting the responsibility to raise
God's Son, Jesus. From his parents, Jesus learned
how to be a faithful believer in his Jewish tradition.
Simeon's prophecy about Mary's sorrow alerts us to
the importance of a family's commitment to one
another, a commitment that is expressed in both good
times and bad. Gather as a family and recall times
when your family showed its commitment to one
another in good times and in bad. Recall times when
your immediate family was supported by members of
your extended family. Note that today we celebrate
the Feast of the Holy Family, and we see in the
family of Jesus an example for our own family life.
Joseph and Mary expressed their faithfulness to God
through their observance of the Law of Moses.
Simeon prophesied the grief that Mary would
experience at the foot of Jesus' cross. One of the
blessings of family life is our commitment to one
another, sharing good times and supporting one another through difficult times. Conclude in prayer
thanking God for the grace expressed in your family's
commitment to another. Thank God for your family
life and asking God to strengthen your family's
commitment to one another.
RESPONDING to the WORD
We pray to Mary as mother of all believers to
intercede for us, asking her Son to give us in this new
year the gift of the faith necessary to face what lies
ahead, with a strong hope to know that all will be
well, and with the grace to love God and others as she
did and continues to do.
KOLENDA
The priests of our parish will bless homes by
invitation only. There will be a form in next week’s
bulletin if you want your home blessed.
May the Prince of Peace and His Holy Mother
keep you in their care throughout the New Year.

«Ziemia ujrzała swego Zbawiciela». Dzisiaj, w święto
Bożego Narodzenia przeżywamy głęboką prawdę tych
słów: Ziemia ujrzała swego Zbawiciela. Ujrzeli Go
najpierw pasterze betlejemscy, którzy idąc za
zwiastowaniem aniołów i za światłem wiary, pospieszyli
do ubogiej stajenki. Była noc, noc brzemienna tajemnicą.
Co ukazało się ich oczom? Dziecię położone w żłobie,
otoczone troskliwą opieką Maryi i Józefa. Ujrzeli dziecię,
ale oświeceni wiarą rozpoznali w tej kruchej istocie
Wcielonego Boga i złożyli Mu swoje skromne dary. W ten
sposób dali początek, choć nieświadomie, uwielbieniu
Emmanuela — Boga z nami, które trwa przez pokolenia.
Do wszystkich więc skierowane jest orędzie dzisiejszego
święta. Wszyscy są wezwani do uczestnictwa w radości
Bożego Narodzenia. «Radośnie wykrzykuj na cześć Pana,
cała ziemio, cieszcie się i weselcie, i grajcie!» (Ps 98 [97],
4). Boże Narodzenie jest dniem szczególnej radości. Ta
radość przeniknęła serca ludzkie i na wieloraki sposób
wyraziła
się
w
historii
i
kulturze
narodów
chrześcijańskich: w pieśni liturgicznej i ludowej, w
malarstwie, literaturze i we wszystkich dziedzinach
sztuki. Wielkie znaczenie mają obyczaje i kolędy, jasełka,
a
zwłaszcza
tradycja
świątecznej
szopki
dla
ukształtowania
duchowości
chrześcijańskiej
całych
pokoleń. To, co chóry anielskie wyśpiewały w Betlejem,
znalazło szeroki i wielokształtny odzew w obyczaju, w
sposobie myślenia, w kulturze wszystkich epok. Odbiło się
echem w sercu każdego człowieka wierzącego. Dzisiaj, w
tym dniu radości całego stworzenia, gdy wszystko zdaje
się wzywać do pokoju i braterstwa, głośniej i wyraźniej
słychać krzyk i błaganie narodów nękanych przez konflikty
etniczne i polityczne, a spragnionych wolności i zgody.
Donośniej rozbrzmiewa dziś głos tych, którzy nie szczędzą
sił, aby obalić mury strachu i wrogości, dążąc do
porozumienia między ludźmi różnego pochodzenia, rasy i
religii. Dzisiaj jeszcze dotkliwsze wydają się nam
cierpienia tych, którzy uchodzą ze swojej ziemi w góry
albo szukają miejsca na wybrzeżach obcych krajów,
wiedzeni wątłą choćby nadzieją, że będą tam mogli żyć
spokojniej i bezpieczniej.Światło wiary pozwala nam
rozpoznać w nowo narodzonym Dziecięciu Boga wiecznego
i nieśmiertelnego. Stajemy się świadkami Jego chwały.
Ten który był wszechmogący, odział się w skrajne
ubóstwo. Taka jest nasza wiara, wiara Kościoła, która
pozwala nam wyznawać chwałę jednorodzonego Syna
Bożego, choć nasze oczy oglądają tylko człowieka, Dziecię
narodzone w betlejemskiej stajni. Wcielony Bóg leży
dzisiaj w żłobie, a cały świat kontempluje Go w milczeniu.
Oby ludzkość dostrzegła w Nim swojego Zbawiciela!
