RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
Registration for the 2014-2015 school year will begin
on Tuesday, August 12th and extend through Tuesday,
September 23rd. It will be held at the Religious Ed
offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The tuition fee for the school year 2014-2015 will be
the same as last year. However, we are going to add a
fee for preparation for First Holy Communion of $50
(in addition to Confirmation) which includes the costs
of the prep. materials, photography, retreat,
confirmation gown etc. These payments must be
made at the same time as the tuition fee.

NOTE: Parents of students advancing to Grade 7, 8 or

Requirement forms and information.
One thing I do not like to do is to single out individual donors that contribute food to our pantry. Inevitably someone is overlooked. Last week,
besides thanking you parishioners for your charity, I singled out LICares,
Stop ‘n’ Shop and IGA. Big mistake! After we went to print, I thought
of all the companies, organizations, Food Drives by individuals, schools,
scouts, even out-of-our area societies and organizations that contribute
much to our Food Bank. It would take a lot of space and a lot of time
to name them all. I did have a thought, though. I will go through our
files and when I feel we have a complete list (and, I will probably miss
someone) we will put it all in print. However,since most individuals do
not want their contribution made public, we will omit naming the donors
of individual gifts, regardless of the size of the gift.
The only reason for us to do this is to let you know of all the unsuspecting sources that care about the people in the parish of Our Lady of the
Assumption. They do not ask for any form of recognition for their gifts
as they truly want nothing in return. I guess that I am so proud of the
people in this parish that I just want you to be as pleased as I am.
(Might be a good idea to not let Father Dariusz know that his Outreach
staff are proud people.)

As my final days as Grand Knight of Our Lady of the
Assumption KofC Council approach I would like to thank
our Pastoral Staff , Rectory Office Staff and My Fellow
Parishoners of Our Lady of the Assumption for their help
and support of our Council functions and fund raisers
throughout the past two years. Without your support the
Knights of Columbus would not be able to what we do to
help our Parish ,community or those in need nationally or
internationally.
I would also like to thank My Brother Knights who have
given so much of themselves in an effort to help others.
It has truly been a priviledge to serve as Grand Knight of

DOMINGO DE PENTECOSTES
En Pentecostés (ó Domingo de Pentecostés) se celebra el
descenso del Espíritu Santo y el inicio de la actividad de la
Iglesia, por ello también se le conoce como la celebración del
Espíritu Santo.
Los cincuenta días pascuales y las fiestas de la Ascensión y
Pentecostés, forman una unidad. No son fiestas aisladas de
acontecimientos ocurridos en el tiempo, son parte de un solo y
único misterio.
La fiesta de Pentecostés, es el segundo domingo más importante
del año litúrgico en donde los cristianos tienen la oportunidad
de vivir intensamente la relación existente entre la Resurrección
de Cristo, su Ascensión y la venida del Espíritu Santo.

Zapisy rozpoczną się we wtorek 12 sierpnia i trwać będą do
wtorku 23 września. Zapisy prowadzone będą w biurze
Centrum Edukacji Religijnej we wtorki, środy i czwartki w
następujących godzinach:
wtorek: 14:00-19:00,
środa: 14:00-17:00,
czwartek: 14:00-17:00.
Opłaty za naukę religii będą takie same jak w roku ubiegłym
z tą różnicą, że wprowadzone będą zmiany w opłatach związanych z przygotowaniem do 1szej komunii św. i bierzmowania.
Opłatę związaną z przygotowaniem do sakramentów
Pierwszej Komunii Świętej i Bierzmowania należy uiścić
wraz z opłatą za cały rok nauki.
Wysokość opłat:
- za 1 dziecko: $ 120
- za dwoje lub wiecej dzieci: $ 150
- Pierwsza Komunia Święta: $50 (tj. opłata za
fotografa i materiały przygotowawcze)
- Bierzmowanie: $85 (opłata za materiały,
rekolekcje, strój na uroczystość)
UWAGA: Rodzice uczniów rozpoczynających naukę w
klasach VII, VIII oraz Prep 6 muszą w trakcie dokonywania
zapisów spotkać się z dyrektorem Programu Edukacji
Religijnej, aby otrzymać listę wymagań dotyczących
Sakramentu Bierzmowania i potrzebne informacje.
APEL ORGANIZACJI KATOLICKICH 2014
Serdecznie dziękujemy tym wszystkim spośród naszych
parafian, którzy odpowiedzieli już na tegoroczny Apel
poprzez złożenie ofiary pieniężnej. Wasz dar pomoże wielu
osobom z naszej diecezji znajdującym się w trudnej sytuacji ekonomicznej. Żaden dar nie jest zbyt mały, liczy się
każda cegiełka. Na dzień dzisiejszy, jako parafia zebraliśmy

SPOTKANIE LIDERÓW I WOLONTARIUSZY
W środę 11 czerwca, o godz. 20:00 w sali pod kościołem
odbędzie się spotkanie związane z Parafialnym Festynem,
w tym roku połączonym z obchodami 85-lecia istnienia
naszej parafii. Spotkanie przeznaczone jest dla liderów
wszystkich grup oraz dla tych, którzy chcieliby uczestniczyć
w festynie jako wolontariusze. Zachęcamy naszych parafian
do wzięcia udziału w spotkaniu.

19:00 grupa osób gromadzi się przy Krzyżu na
zewnątrz kościoła, aby odmawiać Litanię Do
Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa.
KURS BEZPIECZNEJ JAZDY
Jest to kurs teoretyczny przeznaczony zarówno dla
początkujących, jak i dla doświadczonych kierowców.
Kurs odbędzie się w naszej Parafii Matki Bożej
Wniebowziętej w sobotę 28 czerwca, w godz: 8:3015:00, w sali pod kościołem.
Koszt kursu wynosi $45. Prosimy o wypisywanie
czeków na naszą parafię -OLA. Zapisy w kancelarii
parafialnej.
THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD HAS FILLED THE WHOLE WORLD!
Last week we joined our prayer with the apostles and
Mary, the mother of Jesus, as they awaited the coming of the
Holy Spirit. This week we celebrate the fulfillment of that
promise. “There appeared to them tongues as of fire, which
parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were
all filled with the Holy Spirit . . .”
Three weeks ago, our parish celebrated the Sacrament
of Confirmation with our young people; and at some time in
our lives each one of us has received this sacrament. Do we
continue to be aware of this presence of the Holy Spirit in our
lives?
In today’s second reading from St Paul’s first letter to
the Corinthians, we hear that “No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’
except by the Holy Spirit.” So if we are here at Mass today
witnessing to our faith in Jesus, we are off to a good start.
But Paul continues “there are different kinds of
spiritual gifts . . . different forms of service . . . different
workings . . . but the same God who produces them in
everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is
given for some benefit.”
Are we continually aware of these different forms of
the Spirit working in our lives? From today’s “Prayer over
the Offerings”:
Grant we pray, O Lord, that, as promised by your son,
the Holy Spirit may reveal to us more abundantly the
hidden mystery of this sacrifice and graciously lead us
into all truth.
