HEAT-INSULATING UNWOVEN FABRIC WSP, WSP/150, WSP/450, WSP/600
1.
Structure
Heat-insulating unwoven fabric WSP, WSP/150, WSP/450, WSP/600 is made
of glass veil stitched with a tricot stitch. The length of the used stitch is 3,5
mm. The used glass veil is made of resin-impregnated glass fibres of a
monofilament diameter not exceeding 16µm (impregnation content of
approx. 1,5 %).
2. Characteristics
Depending on their type the heat-insulating unwoven fabrics WSP have
different thickness. The use of a particular type is conditioned by the
temperature of the insulated object and the temperature aimed to be
reached on the colder side of the insulation. These are soft unwoven fabrics
easily adjustable to the objects of different shapes.
3. Usage
Heat-insulating unwoven fabrics WSP, WSP/150, WSP/450, WSP/600 can be used up to the temperature of 450C.
They are used as thermal insulation of heating pipes (steam, water), boilers, containers, machines and appliances.
They can also be used as a cover of insulating mattresses and pads and as a semi-finished product in the production
of insulating tar board.
4. Certificates
Heat-insulating unwoven fabric WSP received Type Approval Certificate for the Product Nr TT/731/710296/01 issued
by the Polish Ship Register, which allows it to be used on ships as an incombustible heat-insulating material.
