..I was very moved to see so many teens and college kids using their Spring
Break on pilgrimage to Czêstochowa...especially to see them processing on their
knees around the icon altar. It was also my first visit to the Divine Mercy Shrine at
£agiewniki. That was quite an experience. I particularly felt His presence during t he
3 PM holy Hour...The most remarkable part of the trip was the people who made up
the pilgrimage...it was truly great! I felt welcomed and enjoyed their gregarious
company very much. St. Stanislaus has some wonderful parishioners and friends.
Also, the Vesper service and installation of the icon was the highlight of the P.A.P.
A. Convention! Thank you and Bóg zaplac!
...I didn’t know what to expect with my visit to our Lady of Czestochowa. Would
she really ‘speak’ to me? When the Mass was about to begin and the trumpets blared
time seemed to stand still. When her face was revealed it seemed as though she was
looking directly at me! Tears welled in my eyes. My knees were on hard ground
and yet they did not hurt. There was a fellow pilgrim in front of me. Her body shook
from crying. The pilgrims circling the shrine on their knees showed such great
devotion!... The Lady did speak to me - she said „Listen!” I wanted to try listening
and so as I tried to clear my mind later that evening I felt the presence of the Lord
come to me. I felt total peace, total love, total joy, total calm. I relaized then, more
than ever before, that there truly is a God and that he is with me now and forever!
This memory continues to bring comfort and joy into each of my days and nights.
The other pilgrims spoke of being on a ‘high’ after the trip...I’m still on it, and don’t
plan on letting go of that feeling for a very long time. It just feels so good!

PASTORAL MESSAGE
COME HOLY GHOST!
This weekend we celebrate the
Birthday of the Church, Pentecost.
The Holy Spirit, promised to the disciples by Christ, is truly present and
active in our midst. Yet many
Catholics find it difficult to develop
a devotion to the Holy Spirit. We
call upon Saint Anthony, or John
Paul II — but what about prayers to
the Holy Spirit?
There are many classic prayers to the Holy Spirit, and I
would like to share them here again. Perhaps this is simply a
reminder of what you’ve known for a long time. Maybe you
already pray one or more of these prayers regularly. Maybe
you don’t, but should. See if the Lord is calling you to a deeper
sense of the Holy Spirit in your life, and perhaps these devotions can help you craw closer to God. Maybe you can send it
to someone who is seeking a way to pray. Or perhaps this is
one of the bulletins you cut out and put on the refrigerator door!
PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and enkindle
in them the fire of your love. Send forth your spirit and they
shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth. O
God, who does instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of
the Holy Spirit, grant us by the same Holy Spirit, a love and
relish of what is right and just, and a constant enjoyment of his
comforts. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
SAINT AUGUSTINE’S PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit,
That my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit,
That I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit,
To defend all that is holy.
Guard me, O Holy Spirit,
That I always may be holy. Amen.
FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Charity, Faithfulness, Joy, Modesty, Kindness, Goodness,
Peace, Patience, Self-Control, Chastity, Long-Suffering,
Mildness.
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Wisdom enables you to love the things of God, to see life from
God’s point of view.
Understanding gives you insight into the meaning of the truths
of faith.
Right Judgment helps you to seek and to give correct advice in
making decisions.
Knowledge helps you realize the truths of the universe.
Courage enables you to stand up for your beliefs and to live as
a follower of Christ.
Reverence helps you worship God in prayer and to respect everything God has created.
Wonder and Awe helps you recognize the majesty of God and
leads you to marvel at God’s great love for you.

Bozego Jana Pawla II. Debowy oltarz
wiencza symbole papieskie i biskupie
oraz krzyz i cztery orly, niczym te ze Skalki. Ikona zostala
umieszczona w oltarzu i zarazem wprowadzona do kultu
podczas uroczystych nieszporów 18 kwietnia 2007 r.
Nabozenstwu przewodniczyl biskup Thomas Wenski z Orlando
na Florydzie. O. Michael Surufka odslonil w czasie hejnalu
jasnogórskiego piekny obraz, a nastepnie w procesji ikona
zostala przeniesiona do oltarza.
Sam pomysl oltarza ("kapliczki") i ikony zostal
przedstawiony kard. Stanislawowi Dziwiszowi przez o.
Michaela Surufke OFM i Dawida Krakowskiego – mistrza
liturgii i muzyki z kosciola sw. Stanislawa w Cleveland
podczas spotkania w krakowskiej Kurii Metropolitalnej na
poczatku listopada 2005 r. Kardynal Metropolita zaakceptowal
Stanislawa w Cleveland mitre kard. Karola Wojtyly (Jana
kosciola i Sanktuarium sa kard. Stanislawowi Dziwiszowi
relikwie zwiazana z Janem Pawlem II.
Do dzis z biskupia mitra kard. Karola Wojtyly zwiazanych
jest kilka cudów. M.in.: mezczyzna zostal uleczony z katarakty
ocznej, zas kobieta z raka piersi. Grazyna Hryniewicz opisuje
jeszcze jedno cudowne wydarzenie. Otóz jej wujek Marian
Bogielski zachorowal na raka prostaty. Od 14 listopada 2006 r.
stan byl bardzo powazny, bo doszlo zakazenie krwi i lekki
zawal.
rodzine lekarz Piotr Anders-Zalewski i bliski krewny chorego,
ze z Polski przylecial syn, by pozegnac sie z ojcem. Wobec
zblizajacej sie smierci pacjenta sakramentu umocnienia udzielil
ks. Andrzej Knapik. 21 listopada widzac stan agonalny meza i
szwagra bardzo zarliwie modlila sie zona chorego i jej dwie
siostry w intencji o uproszenie zdrowia i prosily o
wstawiennictwo Sluge Bozego Jana Pawla II w kosciele sw.
Stanislawa. Ponadto przywiozly ze soba koszulke chorego i
polozyly obok mitry. Po tej modlitwie nastepnego dnia pacjent
odzyskal swiadomosc i stopniowo zdrowie. Na Swieto
Dziekczynienia cala rodzina mogla mówic o cudownym
uzdrowieniu i dziekowac Bogu. Mimo znacznego wyczerpania
pracowac w ogródku i kosic trawe.
Podczas moich rekolekcji wielkopostnych dla Polaków w
parafiach sw. Stanislawa, Niepokalanego Serca Maryi i sw.
Kosciola i do Polski. Tradycje religijne, kulturalne i
