AN URGENT PLEA
It is sad that we have a need for this request, but
this is an urgent plea for all who chew gum to dispose of it properly, by depositing it in the trash
cans provided. The amount of chewing gum left
on the floor of both the Church and auditorium,
on the walkways and steps, under chairs and
even on the microphone stand in the auditorium
is beyond belief. Recently black trash cans have
been placed at every entrance to every parish
building. Please use them to dispose of chewing
gum.
If you are bringing young children to Church,
please share this information with them. And of
course, it is not proper to chew gum in Church,
and especially approaching Holy Communion!

it is something I have to get used to and just be
grateful that I can watch the days come and go.

PETICION URGENTE
Es triste tener que pedir esto, pero hacemos un
llamado urgente a todos aquellos parroquianos
que acostumbran masticar chicle (o goma de
mascar). Se les pide que los desechos de goma
de mascar, tanto como otros desperdicios, sean
depositados en los basureros. La cantidad de
chicles dejados en los pisos de la Iglesia y el Auditorio, en los pasillos, gradas, debajo de las sillas/bancas e incluso en el pedestal del micrófono
del Auditorio, está más allá de lo incomprensible.
Recientemente se han colocado basureros en
cada entrada de todos los edificios parroquiales.
Por favor hagan uso de ellos para tirar el chicle.
A todas aquellas personas que traen niños o adolescentes, por favor compartan esta información
con ellos. Y por supuesto, se les recuerda que
no es apropiado masticar chicle durante la
celebración de la Misa, y ¡mucho menos
cuando se está a punto de recibir la Santa Comunión!

PRÓBA CHÓRU NA MSZĘ ŚW. ODPUSTOWĄ
Zapraszamy wszystkich chętnych do śpiewania w naszym
chórze podczas Mszy św. odpustowej w niedzielę 10
sierpnia. Ostatnia próba odbędzie się we wtorek 29 lipca,
wieczorem o godz. 19:30, w sali nr 2 budynku naszego
Centrum Edukacji Religijnej.
KSIĘGA INTENCJI MSZALNYCH NA ROK 2015 - Księga
Intencji Mszalnych Na Rok 2015 będzie otwarta począwszy
od poniedziałku 8 września. W celu zamawiania intencji
prosimy Państwa o przybywanie do kancelarii parafialnej w
godzinach pracy kancelarii. Ofiara za intencję wynosi $15.
Intencje nie mogą być przyjmowane przez telefon.
SPOTKANIE KÓŁKA RÓŻAŃCOWEGO - Najbliższe
spotkanie Kółka Różańcowego odbędzie się w następną niedzielę 3 sierpnia po Mszy św. wieczornej w języku polskim.

PROŚBA
Prosimy, aby wszystkie osoby żujące gumy wyrzucały je do
koszy na śmieci. Z przykrością informujemy, że znajdujemy
je pozostawione na podłogach kościoła i audytorium, w
przejściach, na schodach, pod krzesłami, a nawet na stojaku na mikrofon w audytorium. Niedawno , przy wszystkich
drzwiach wejściowych do wszystkich budynków parafialnych umieściliśmy czarne pojemniki na śmieci. Prosimy o
wrzucanie do nich gum.
Prosimy, aby przekazali Państwo tę informację także swoim dzieciom....i jeszcze jedna ważna uwaga: żucie gumy
w kościele jest rzeczą niestosowną, zwłaszcza przed
przyjęciem Komunii Świętej.

DANIA DLA POLSKIEGO STOISKA
Wiemy, że wiele spośrod naszych Pań i Panów posiada
wspaniałe talenty kulinarne. Jest więc znakomita okazja
ku temu, abyśmy wszyscy, nie tylko Polacy, ale także
ludzie pochodzący z innych krajów, mogli pokosztować
Waszych dań. Jesteśmy pewni, że wszystkie one będą
nam bardzo smakowały, a nasz wspólny wkład wesprze
naszą parafię. Prosimy wszystkie osoby, które mogłyby
przygotować dania dla polskiego stoiska o telefonowanie

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE ASKED FOR?
If God were to offer me one request, what would I ask for?
The answer to this question tells me what is the most
important thing in my life. Both our first reading and Gospel
this week relate to this question.
Solomon chose an understanding heart. He did so to
be able to fulfill the role God had mapped out for him. God
was so pleased with this request that he gave Solomon “a
heart so wise and understanding” that there had never been,
nor would be, anyone to equal him.
Maybe I am being picky with words, but Solomon only
asked for understanding; God gave him wisdom and
understanding. This stands out for me because I believe that
God always gives us more than we ask for or can imagine!
In the Gospel, Jesus presents us with the parables of
the treasure in the field and the pearl of great price. In each
story, the person sells all he has to gain the prize. Sometimes
I forget that these are parables, and I wonder if either person
was satisfied with his “treasure” when he attained it.
How often have we really wanted something, and when
we get it, it does not fulfill our expectations? Only when we
desire God, the greatest good, will our expectations be met.
In the words of St. Augustine: “Our hearts are restless until
they rest in thee, O Lord”.
And let us remember the words of St. Paul in the
second reading:
ALL THINGS WORK FOR GOOD
FOR THOSE WHO LOVE GOD.
