GENERAL AGREEMENT on COOPERATION between the UNIVERSITV OF JAÉN (SPAIN) and LUBLlN UNIVERSITV of TECHNOLOGY (POLAND) Signed on the

Acting on behalf and representation of the University of Jaén, its Rector, Manuel Parras Rosa, and
acting on behalf and representation of Lublin University of Technology, its Rector, Prof. Marek
Opielak, conclude:
I - That the universities, in accordance with their nature and objectives, are destined to play
an essential role with regard to the strengthening of friendship between the nations and their
economic, social and cultural development.
11 - That the University of Jaén and Lublin University of Technology have several cultural and
scientific fields in common, and therefore, it is the will of both institutions to promote and intensify
their mutual relations.

111 - That the mutual collaboration and the sharing of experiences and knowledge, as well as
the rendering of services between both institutions, are of the greatest interest for their social and
cultural progress.
It is due to what has been previously said that it has been decided to reach an agreement on
cooperation between both institutions, in accordance with the following provisions:
FIRST - To develop the undertaking of common studies and research projects in fields of
shared interest.
SECONO - To promote the publication of research studies on topics of mutual interest to the
University of Jaén and Lublin University ofTechnology.
THIRO - To foster the spreading of knowledge and the organization of lectures, meetings,
eminars and courses.
FOURTH - To organize systems of mutual rendering of services, as well as a joint cooperation
to offer a better service to society.
FIFTH - To promote the cooperation between the University of Jaén and Lublin University of
Technology, to organize joint cultural activities, as well as to use the facilities available for that
purpose at both institutions.

SIXTH - To promote specific agreements between the University of Jaén and Lublin
University of Technology.
SEVENTH - This agreement will come into effect after being signed by both parties and will
be established for a period of ayear. After this first year it will be automatically extended for an
indefinite period, unless one of the parties expresses an intention to cancel the agreement three
months before the expiry date.
EIGHTH - Both parties agree to carry to conclusion any commitments acquired under the
terms of this agreement which may be outstanding upon its expiry.
NINTH - In order to ensure an appropriate development of this agreement a monitoring
committee will be created. This committee will be formed by a representative of the University of
Jaén and another one from Lublin University of Technology. On behalf of the University of Jaén the
representative will be the Rector of the University or somebody delegated by him and on behalf of
Lublin University of Technology, the Rector of the University or somebody delegated by him.
And in accordance with what has been previously expounded, the present cooperation
agreement is signed in duplicate and for an only purpose, at the place and on the date ut supra.

SZÓSTE - Aby dziafaé na rzecz szczegófowych umów pomi~dzy Uniwersytetem w Jaén oraz
Politechnikq lubelskq.
SIÓDME - Niniejsze porozumienie wejdzie w iycie po podpisaniu przez obie strony i b~dzie
obowiqzywaé przez okres roku. Po tym okresie zostanie ono automatycznie przedtuione na czas
nieokreslony, o ile jedna ze stron nie wyrazi woli wypowiedzenia umowy na trzy miesiqce przed
datq wygasni~cia.
ÓSME - Obie strony uzgadniajq, ii wywiqiq si~ ze wszystkich zobowiqzañ powzi~tych na
mocy warunków niniejszej umowy nie uregulowanych w chwili jej wygasni~cia.
DZIEWIJ\TE - Aby zapewnié wfasciwq realizacj~ niniejszej umowy powotana zostanie komisja
monitorujqca. Komisja ta sktadaé si~ b~dzie z przedstawiciela Uniwersytetu w Jaén oraz
przedstawiciela Politechniki lubelskiej. Ze strony Uniwersytetu w Jaén osobq reprezentujqcq b~dzie
Rektor Uniwersytetu lub osoba której udzielif on pefnomocnictwa a ze strony Politechniki Lubelskiej
Rektor Politechniki lub osoba której udzielif on pefnomocnictwa.
Zgodnie z powyiszym, podpisano niniejszq umow~ o wspótpracy w dwóch egzemplarzach, w
jednym okreslonym celu, w wyiej wymienionym miejscu i dniu.
