For a residential area and its access roads a rockfall protection was required. The installed GBE-5000A
rockfall barrier for impact energies of 5’000 kJ is protecting the following sectors from rockfall: Tête de
chien, Mont de la Bataille, Culassa, Petite Afrique et Savaric. In addition to the other advantages the
Geobrugg GBE-5000A was selected by the client because the barrier is approved in accordance with the
guidelines of the European Organisation for Technical Approvals ETAG 027 and carries the CE
conformity marking. To keep this rockfall protection as unobtrusive as possible the posts were painted
in green.
