OUTREACH CENTER
This weekend is the Assumption of the
Blessed Virgin Mary. How wonderful God is
that we have a mother so faithful and willing
to do God’s will that her “yes” enabled Jesus
to enter into our lives and save us. She is a
pure example for us to follow in the choices
we make in our lives.
Our pantry needs this week are: canned
soups, fruits and vegetables, macaroni and
cheese, tomato sauce and toothpaste.

Registering for the First Time: Parents of students
MUST bring both the birth and baptismal certificates
of their children. If the child has already received First
Communion, the parent must also bring proof of this.
All of these requirements apply even if the
sacraments were received in this parish. They do
not apply to students who are re-registering.
NOTE: Parents of students advancing to Grade 7,
8 or Prep 6 will register in the summer, but must
return in September to meet with the Religious Ed
Director to receive Confirmation Requirement
forms and information. These interviews are
mandatory; students in these grades cannot begin
classes unless their parents have met with the
director.
Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. The
tuition fee for the school year 2015-2016 will be the
same as last year.

who would like to become a Eucharistic Minister

SERDECZNIE DZIĘKUJEMY!
Wszyscy doskonale bawiliśmy się podczas
naszego festynu. Były tam przygotowane
dla nas gry, przejażdżki na karuzelach,
stoiska handlowe, smaczne jedzenie oraz
znakomita zabawa. Najwspanialszą częścią
festynu było jednak nie tylko spędzanie
czasu w towarzystwie innych członków
naszej wspólnoty, lecz także wspólna praca
z innymi parafianami. Nasi ciężko pracujący
i nigdy nie męczący się parafianie są dla nas
prawdziwym błogosławieństwem. Dzięki
Wam nasz festyn co roku odnosi sukces i za
każdym razem z dumą Wam za to dziękujemy. Serdecznie dziękujemy wszystkim

Ofiara za intencję wynosi $15. Intencje należy zamawiać w kancelarii parafialnej w godzinach pracy. Nie

Można również uczcić pamięć swoich bliskich poprzez

Nasz program pilnie potrzebuje nauczycieli katechezy na najbliższy rok szkolny. Potrzebni są także asystenci nauczycieli, osoby pilnujące porządku na korytarzach (hall monitors) oraz nauczyciele na zastępstwa
do wszystkich klas. Osoby zainteresowane proszone

Zapisy będą odbywać się w dniach:
od wtorku 18 sierpnia do czwartku 27 sierpnia.
Zapisy prowadzone będą w biurze Centrum Edukacji
Religijnej we wtorki, środy i czwartki w następujących
godzinach:
-wtorki: 10:00-13:00,
-środy: 15:00-19:30,
-czwartki: 13:00-17:00.
W przypadku zapisów uczniów nowych (zapisywanych po raz pierwszy): Rodzice uczniów MUSZĄ
przynieść ze sobą Metrykę Chrztu Dziecka oraz jego
Akt Urodzenia. Jeżeli dziecko przyjęło już sakrament
Eucharystii (Pierwsza Komunia Św.), to wówczas
prosimy o przyniesienie zaświadczenia potwierdzajacego przyjęcie tego sakramentu.
Wszystkie powyższe wymagania muszą być
spełnione nawet jeżeli dziecko otrzymało sakramenty w naszej parafii. Nie dotyczą one uczniów
zapisywanych ponownie (tj. kontynuujących naukę
w naszym programie).
UWAGA: Rodzice uczniów rozpoczynających
naukę w klasach VII, VIII oraz Prep 6 zapisujący
swoje dzieci latem, muszą we wrześniu spotkać się
z dyrektorem Programu Edukacji Religijnej, aby
otrzymać listę wymagań dotyczących sakramentu
Bierzmowania i potrzebne informacje. Spotkania te
są obowiązkowe. Uczniowie, których rodzice nie
spotkali się z dyrektorem, nie mogą rozpocząć
nauki .
Opłaty za naukę należy uiścić podczas dokonywania zapisów. Będą one takie same jak w roku ubiegłym.
Wysokość opłat:
- za 1 dziecko: $ 120
- za dwoje lub wiecej dzieci: $ 150
- Pierwsza Komunia Święta (klasa II) : $50
(tj. opłata za fotografa i materiały
przygotowawcze)
- Bierzmowanie (klasa VIII i Prep 6): $85
(opłata za materiały, rekolekcje,
strój na uroczystość)

Zajęcia rozpoczną się 29 września.
“Whoever Eats This Bread
Will Live Forever!”
Today’s first reading introduces us to
“wisdom”, and St. Paul, in the second reading,
urges us to live as wise persons by trying to
understand “what is the will of the Lord”.
Basically, wisdom is seeing things as God sees
them.
How then, if we are wise, can we ignore
the constant teaching of Jesus: “I am the living
bread that came down from heaven; whoever
eats this bread will live forever; and the bread
that I will give is my flesh for the life of the
world”?
If we truly believe Jesus, we will live
forever! We need to convince ourselves that the
life Jesus promises is better than the life we have
now. And so we turn to St. Paul’s words “eye has
not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it entered
into the heart of man, the things God has
prepared for those who love him!”
Or we can turn to the psalmist who
proclaims “one day within your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere”.
So let us live the wonderful lives we have
now, but always with the caveat “the best is yet
to come”.
