Sister Mary Faustina, an
apostle of the Divine Mercy,
belongs today to the group of
the most popular and wellknown saints of the Church.
Through her the Lord Jesus
communicates to the world
the great message of God's
mercy and reveals the pattern
of Christian perfection based
on trust in God and on the
attitude of mercy toward one's neighbors.
She was born with the name Helena on August 25, 1905
in Glogowiec Poland of a poor & religious family of
peasants, the third of ten children. At the age of seven
she had already felt the first stirrings of a religious
vocation. After finishing school, she wanted to enter the
convent but her parents would not give her permission.
Called during a vision of the Suffering Christ, on August
1, 1925 she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of
Our Lady of Mercy and took the name Sister Mary
Faustina. She lived in the Congregation for thirteen
years and lived in several religious houses.
Externally nothing revealed her rich mystical interior
life. She zealously performed her tasks and faithfully
observed the rule of religious life. She was recollected
and at the same time very natural, serene and full of
kindness and interested love for her neighbor. Although
her life was apparently insignificant, monotonous and
dull, she hid within herself an extraordinary union with
God.
The years she had spent at the convent were filled with
extraordinary gifts, such as: revelations, visions, hidden
stigmata, participation in the Passion of the Lord, the
gift of bilocation, the reading of human souls, the gift of
prophecy, or the rare gift of mystical engagement and
marriage. The living relationship with God, the Blessed
Mother, the Angels, the Saints, the souls in Purgatory with the entire supernatural world — was as equally real
for her as was the world she perceived with her senses.
The Lord Jesus chose Sr. Mary Faustina as the Apostle
and "Secretary" of His Mercy, so that she could tell the
world about His great message. In the Old Covenant He said to her — I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts
to My people. Today I am sending you with My mercy
to the people of the whole world. I do not want to
punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it
To My Merciful Heart (Diary1588).
Sister Mary Faustina, consumed by tuberculosis and by
innumerable sufferings which she accepted as a
voluntary sacrifice for sinners, died in Krakow at the age
of just thirty three on October 5, 1938 with a reputation
for spiritual maturity and a mystical union with God. On
April 18, 1993 our Holy Father John Paul II raised Sister
Faustina, Apostle of Divine Mercy, to the glory of the
altars as a Saint.
We celebrate her feast day on 5 October. She is the
patron saint of World Youth Day as was celebrated
2016 in Krakow!

Na zakończenie Jubileuszowego
Roku Miłosierdzia, w naszym
kościele odbędą sie rekolekcje.
Wraz ze św. Tereską, jedną z
naszych najbardziej umiłowanych
świętych, zapraszamy do wspólnej
podróży ku poznaniu Bożego
Miłsierdzia. Przez 6 tygodni
będziemy kroczyć jej “Małą Drogą” by w ostatnim dniu
Roku Jubileuszowego 20-go listopada ofiarować się
tak jak ona Miłości Miłosiernej.
Pomimo że rekolekcje opracowane są na podstawie
książki i konferencji nagranych na DVD w języku angielskim , zachęcamy wszystkich do udziału. Będziemy
wspierac sie wzajemnie.
Można wybrać spotkania w środy o godzinie 7:30 PM
począwszy od 5-go października, albo w niedziele o
godzinie 12:00 PM począwszy od 9-go października.
Na każde spotkanie łącznie z konferencją przeznaczone jest około 1.5 godziny.
Rekolekcjie oparte są na zestawie materiału w skład
ktorego wchadza: ksiąka, podręcznik towarzyszący oraz
świadectwo aktu ofiarowania się, obrazek św Teresy

Parish Retreat with St. Therese of Lisieux
“33 DAYS TO MERCIFUL LOVE”
What a better way to end the Jubilee Year of Mercy than
to participate in Fr. Michael Gailtley’s “33 Days to Merciful Love” retreat. The retreat will begin at 7:30 pm
each Wednesday after the 6:30 pm Mass and coffee social is October 5th, the Feast Day of St. Faustina and
will continue until November 9th.
Our Consecration will be on November 20th, the
closing of the Jubilee Year of Mercy.
Everyone is welcome.
The participant packet needs to be ordered which
includes: book, Retreat Companion workbook,
Consecration to Merciful Love Certificate, Prayer of
Consecration to Merciful Love prayer card,
St. Thérèse card (limited-edition card with a photograph of St. Thérèse), and Complementary DVD
with Episode 2 of the acclaimed Catholic documetary,
“Divine Mercy in the Second Greatest Story

Kowalska the miraculous healing of Fr.
Pytel took place in 1995 in our church. This
year we have a l Vigil celebration on 4th of
October with Mass and prayer. Everyone is
invited to join in this special occasion this
coming Tuesday.

W każdy pierwszy piątek miesiąca Apostolat Przyjaciół
Jezusa Miłosiernego prowadzi całonocne czuwanie przed
Najświętszym Sakramentem. Rozpoczynamy o godzinie
9 pm a kończymy o 8 am w sobote. Adoracja została
podjęta w intencji za naszą parafię. Każdy kto chciałby
skorzystać z okazji spotkania się z Jezusem proszony jest o
zgłoszenie ponieważ z uwagi na czas nocny drzwi
koscioła są zamknięte. W cieżkich chwilach których
nikomu nie brakuje zapominamy że Jezus jest najlepszym
lekarzem i czeka na nas ukryty w Eucharystii by obdarzyć
nas swoją Miłoscia. I choc Jubileuszowy Rok Miłosierdzia
dobiega końca, Miłosierdzie Boże trwa na wieki. Przyjdż
i czerp z ufnościa razem z nami z tego niewyczerpanego
naczynia miłosierdzia.

First Friday Vigil by
Friends of Merciful Jesus Apostolate
Every first Friday of the month, the Friends of the
Merciful Jesus Apostolate keeps the night vigil in front of
the Most Holy Eucharist. We begin at 9PM and end
Saturday at 8 AM. We pray for the intentions for our
parish. Everyone can join us by signing up his name since
the door of the church during the night is closed for safety
reason. In the time of hardship which we all experience,
we tend to forget that Jesus is the best healer and that He
anxiously is waiting to pour on us His unfathomable Love.
Please come so together we can draw with Trust from this
inexhaustible fount of Mercy hidden in the Eucharist. To

W sobote 15go pazdziernika udamy sie grupa,
kto może, na dwie godziny modlitwy przed
największą w Maryland kliniką aborcyjna
Planned Parenthood w Fullerton by wlaczyć
się w ten ruch 40 Days for Life. Jest to na
Belair Rd po wewnetrznej stronie Beltway.
Miejsce modlitwy jest na chodniku przy
wjeżdzie do shopping center. Godziny naszego
czuwania od 10 am -12 noon zaraz po rannej
Mszy i Różańcu. Poprzednio mogłam zapisac
siebie i inne osoby, a teraz website jest
zmieniony i moge zapisac tylko siebie.
Wystarczy by były zapisane dwie osoby więc
jesli któs może się zalogować i wpisać bardzo
proszę a reszta po prostu sie dołączy już na
miejscu. Powyżej jest link.
W tę sobote umawiamy się razem, ale
zachęcam by zapisywac sie tez indywidualnie
kiedy komu pasuje. Przez 40 dni od 28go
wrzesnia do 6go listopada można wziąc udział
w tej kompanii pro-life. Czuwania modlitewne
są od 7 am do 7 pm.
APOSTOLAT 2 HOUR PRAYER VIGIL
AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD IN
FULLERTON
On Saturday, October 15th the Apostolat group
will gather for two hours to pray in front of the
largest abortion clinic in Maryland - the Planned
Parenthood in Fullerton as part of the movement
of 40 Days for Life. The Planned Parenthood is
located on Belair Rd on the inside of the Beltway.
A place of prayer will be set aside on the sidewalk
at the entrance to the shopping center. The
prayers will be from 10 am - 12 noon, following
the 8:30 Saturday morning Mass and immediately
after the Rosary. You can come as a group but we
encourage everyone to sign up individually. For
40 days starting from 28th September to 6th
November you can take part in the pro-life
movement. Prayer vigils are from 7 am to 7 pm.
