1. Outgoing visits of experienced staff:

The French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), Bischoffsheim near Strasbourg, France

The aim of the visit was to
• participate in the EMBO Workshop „Intercullar communication in plant development
and plant diseases” Bischoffsheim near Strasbourg, 24.08-29.08. 2014
a/ presentations two posters:
•“Plasmodesmatal trafficking particles of Prunus dwarf virus in host plant tissues and regulatory role in transport coat
protein and calreticulin”
•“Plant chaperones as a components of inter- and intra-cellular transport of potato virus Y (PVY NTN) in tobacco cells”
b/ discuss the possibilities of cooperation between The French National Centre for Scientific
Research and our Faculty and of the exchange of PhD students.

The aim of the visit was to
•become acquainted with the reserach organisation and the methods of research evaluation
in the aforementioned institutions
•organise meetings to discuss the research into plant cultivation and crop protection from
pests and stress
•discuss the possibilities of cooperation with the aforementioned institutions, especially in
regard to the Horyzont 2020 program

Task 3.1. Preparation of a consolidated research policy paper, and implementation of
improvements in organization and Intellectual Property policy
Highlight clearly significant results
• A decision was made to enhance the learning program scheme the second –degree studies at
the Faculty of Horticulture, Biotechnology and Landscape Architecture, Warsaw
University of Life Sciences (WULS – SGGW), by creating English-language classes of
the following subjects in: Department of Pathology
(‘The pathogens of the plant
crops’) and Department of Applied Entomology (‘The pests of the plant crops’).
• A decision was made to create a new field of study ‘Plant Health Protection’ at the Faculty of
Horticulture, Biotechnology and Landscape Architecture, Warsaw Life Sciences
University (WULS – SGGW) .
