Association ANEW on a boxing tournament

Association for the benefit of Socio Therapy Centre for Maladjusted Youths in Ostrowiec ¦w. called ANEW, from 26th to
28th October 2012 was present on XVII Bronis³aw Kubicki International Boxing Tournament which took place in sports
and spectacular hall on ¦wiêtokrzyska Street in Ostrowiec ¦w.
One of the students, Sebastian Bednarski Gierada, was a participant of this tournament. He won a gold medal in cadets
category - 48 kg. He was also considered the best boxer of the whole tournament. We believed that our spur helped
Sebastian to achieve this success.
The second aspect of our presence during this tournament was a desire of engagement of the students from Socio
Therapy Centre for Maladjusted Youths in specific initiatives connected with the organisation of this sports event. Pawe³
Karpa, Konrad ¯y¶ko, Rafa³ Fr±czek, Kamil Momot, Damian Mizera, Krzysztof Henzel, Tomasz Migda³, Pawe³ Wielgus,
Dawid Malanowski, Kamil Maruszewski, Kacper Zieñ, Konrad P³owiec and Patryk Go¶ under the care of housemasters
Edyta Bielka, Monika Zió³kowska amd Honorata Krawczyk helped with organizational and cleaning work.
The whole undertaking was possible thanks to the cooperation with £ukasz Dybiec, the vice-president of KSZO sports
club. This cooperation was established by Association ANEW. We hoped that our help was a support for the organisers
of the tournament. For our students, this help undoubtedly became the next opportunity to form positive personality
features and the lesson of cooperation with local environment.
