About Paintball
Paintball in the world was once known as a recreational form of leisure,
acknowledged only by a small number of enthusiasts. Today it is a huge industry
and a very exciting sport. Every month thousands of new players compete in
paintball competitions. Paintball is a very addictive game, and many players,
even if they try it just once, seek to become increasingly involved. Paintball is
a well-organized, exciting sport, which offers dynamic development. Paintball
game usually takes place in the forest or in an urban area, but the variety called
speedball paintball is a fast action, spectacular sport with dynamic action and
rapidly changing situations, all of that on a very small area of artificial obstacles,
surrounded with netting to maintaining the safety rules. Speedball is a very
demanding sport, a player must not only be well prepared physically, also needs
to be able to think logically and to quickly take appropriate decisions. Victory
depends mainly on good tactics and individual skills of the players - one element
without the other will not ensure victory.
Team
Ranger is the oldest and undoubtedly the most successful and experienced team of Polish
paintball scene. Current and former Ranger players (including Thomas Matuszewski, owner
of Poland’s largest paintball store - Paintball Skill and Piotr Matuszewski – the creator of
paintball sites and pblivescores.com Information Service) were precursors of paintball in
Poland. The people gathered in team’s ranks share the vision of creating one of the strongest
teams in Central Europe. Frequent and very intense workouts result in excellent performance.
Our training is focused not only on technique and skills of individual players, but also on team
bonding and communications, which translates into a key to success. We also invite top
players of the world to conduct training with us and play tournaments together, which helps
us in becoming better players, (Glenn Takemoto and Davey Williamson riders team San
Diego Dynasty, Dave Baines - DC Arsenal team player). Currently, the team team has 19th
place in Europe out of over 200 teams participating in the European Millennium Series. As
for the home scene, in which about 5000 players from 70 different teams compete, Ranger
stays in the tightest forefront ever since the team was created.

Ranger Team won 40 tournaments in its career.
Plans:
Ranger in the 2012 season plans to fight for the top in all tournaments: The European Grand Tour League
the Millennium Series. We will also compete in all Polish Paintball League tournaments in Poland, as well
as in every other prestigious tournament in Poland and Europe, which has not been yet announced.
Media
Paintball in Poland has become increasingly popular. The recreational leisure time turned
into a very fast growing sport. A lot of media interest, both on local and major tournaments
contributes to the growing in popularity of speedball among young people. In the 2009 season
the most popular Millennium Series league and a European television station Eurosport
have started to work together to show paintball to a wider public. The station broadcasted
transmissions from each of the five league tournaments, that took place in various parts of
Europe. This season, ESPN sports television station broadcasts live games of the American
League NPPL Super Seven. This year Polsat, a Polish commercial television followed ESPN’s
footsteps.
On Polsat Sport channel, the largest and oldest paintball league tournaments in Poland will be
broadcasted - Polish Paintball League events in major cities. In 10 minute episodes, in addition
to the direct transmission of the matches, there will be team and player interviews. There will
also be results of individual matches, and rankings in various divisions. As the current Polish
Champion, Ranger will often appear in this year’s tournament broadcasts from PLP.
Brands in Paintball
For several years the U.S. sets global trends in paintball. More
and more companies outside the paintball industry notices
a big potential in this sport. Interest of large corporations
and emerging companies in the opportunities available in
advertising their brands by a paintball team results in a huge
growth of the sport itself and an opportunity to reach a larger
crowd of young people. Brands such as Intel, Activision,
Monster and Bawls are committed to the support of leading
teams in paintball. For several seasons similar trends also
appeared in Europe. Companies such as Rockstar, Knauf,
Lisbon Benfica, Russian Railways are permanently tied to
the European market by sponsoring paintball teams.
