Number of ECTS credits:
2. Educational goals and aims
The course program offers to the students information concerning the chosen physical phenomena
occurring in living organisms and application of physics in medicine taking into account the specificity of
the dentist profession.
3. Initial requirements
The level of students’ knowledge should correspond to the standards for the Matura Exam. The exam is
taken on completion of high school and is the basis for entry into universities and colleges of further
education in Poland.

Credit receiving criteria
To be admitted to the final
test students are
requested to:
- attend lectures and
seminars, and collect at
least 4 points for
presence and activity,
- attend all practical
classes (laboratory
sessions), and collect at
least 12 points.
During each laboratory
session one can get
maximum 5 points. This
makes a total of 20 points
for 4 practical classes to
get. Prior to each
laboratory session
students should read and
understand the relevant
instruction to the
experiment. During
laboratory session
students are asked 3-4
questions (in written or
oral form, depending on
the tutor) to test their
knowledge concerning the
experiment. The answers
to these questions would
be assessed for maximum
2 points. The laboratory
report would be assessed
for maximum 3 points
8. Evaluation criteria: Students achievements are graded based on the final MCQ test results.
