Registration can be completed by coming into the Rectory during
office hours. Monday and Friday 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

WEDDINGS:
Arrangement must be made with one of the priests at least six months before the date of the wedding. Confirm desired date at the church
before making other arrangements. At least one of the engaged persons (or their parents) must be a registered and active parishioner of St.
Priscilla. Weddings are not scheduled on Sunday.
BAPTISMS:
English Baptisms will be held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 1:30 PM. Polish Baptisms will be held on the first and third
Sundays of the month at 1:30 PM. Attendance at Baptismal Preparation class is mandatory. Register by calling the Rectory.

Eleventh Annual
Valentine’s Day Dance
The Polish community from St. Priscilla is hosting
its Eleventh annual Valentine’s Day Dance, which
will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014
at 7:00 PM in McGowan Hall.
Music will be provided by the “GWIAZDA” band.
The ticket price is $15. Drinks and food are not
included in the price.
We hope to see you all there!

Today, we
will take up
the Collection
for the
Church in
Latin
America.
Your gift to
the Collection
will fund
catechesis,
youth
ministry
programs, and seminarian education in Latin America and
the Caribbean. One participant in catechetical training,
Andrea, said that the experience was informative and
enriching—the catechists were able to meet each other and
share their diverse experiences. The support you give today
will fund formation programs and provide opportunities for
years to come. Please support the Church in Latin America

2014 ARCHDIOCESAN ANNUAL CATHOLIC
APPEAL BEGINS
“You are the temple of God”
(1 Corinthians 3:16)
The 2014 Annual Catholic Appeal is underway. Many of
our parishioners have received a mailing from Cardinal
George. He asks that you make a pledge to the 2014
Annual Catholic Appeal. Please respond generously.
The Appeal supports both parish and Archdiocesan
ministries. The Appeal funds services that are of great
help to ministries here in our parish.
This year, the theme of the Appeal is: “You are the
temple of God”. We are living temples of God and carry
His true presence into the world. He calls us to share our
gifts with others.
As we contemplate His gifts to us, we should also reflect
on our gratitude for these gifts. Your financial support
for the work our parish, of our Archdiocese and of the
Church throughout the world is, in fact, one way to
express this gratitude.
As you review the mailing from Cardinal George, please
note the ministries and services funded by the Appeal,
including the ones that directly support the work of our
parish. Then please give generously. Note that when our
parish reaches its goal of $ 25,885.00 in paid pledges,
100% of the additional funds received will be returned to
us for use in our parish.

Has Christ Been Divided?
Celebrated annually between the
feasts of St. Peter and St. Paul.
Sponsored by the Pontifical Council
for Promoting Christian Unity and the
World Council of Churches.
Each year, Christian churches and
communities of a particular country develop the theme and
texts for the Week of Prayer.
Francis Cardinal George and the Office for Ecumenical and
Interreligious Affairs is encouraging all Christians in the
Chicago area to engage in personal prayer and join local joint
observances during January 18-25 and throughout the year.
PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
We give you thanks, O God, for you bless the Church with the
gifts of the Holy spirit. Help us support one another, to be
respectful of our differences and to work for the unity of all
those throughout the world who call upon Jesus as Lord.
Help us by your grace to continue praying the prayer of your
Son that we may be one, that we may draw ever closer
together and recognize our unity is that of Yours, Father, Son
and Holy Spirit. Amen
ROZPOCZYNA SIĘ DOROCZNA KWESTA KATOLICKA 2014
„Jesteście świątynią Boga” (1Kor 3:16)
Rozpoczyna się Doroczna Kwesta Katolicka 2014. Wielu
z parafian otrzymało lub wkrótce otrzyma korespondencję od
kardynała George z prośbą o złożenie zobowiązania
finansowego na rzecz Kwesty Katolickiej 2014. Prosimy o hojne
wsparcie.
Doroczna Kwesta Katolicka wspiera w takim samym
stopniu parafialne programy duszpasterskie jak i programy na
szczeblu archidiecezjalnym. Dochód z Kwesty staje się wielką
pomocą w podjęciu wielu zadań i działań duszpasterskich w
naszej parafii.
W tym roku, motywem przewodnim jest zdanie
„Jesteście świątynią Boga!”. Jesteśmy żyjącymi świątyniami
Boga i przynosimy Jego prawdziwą obecność temu światu. On
nawołuje nas byśmy dzielili swoje dary z innymi.
Rozmyślając nad darami, które otrzymaliśmy od Boga,
powinniśmy równocześnie zastanowić nad wdzięcznością za
wszystko czym do tej pory zostali smy obdarzeni. Dary, które
składamy na rzecz naszej parafii, archidiecezji i Kościoła na
całym świecie są jedną z możliwości wyrazenia naszej
wdzięczności.
Zapoznając się z materiałami, które otrzymacie od
kardynała Georga, prosimy o zauważenie duszpasterstw i
posług, które w parsafii są bezpośrednio wspierane przez
Doroczną Kwestę Katolicką.
Wówczas złóżmy hojne
zobowiązanie. Prosimy zauważyć, że po uzyskaniu przez naszą
parafię kwoty docelowej w wysokości $25,885.00 w postaci
zrealizowanych zobowiązań, 100% zebranych w ten sposób
środków, zostanie zwrócona nam, do wykorzystania na
niezbędne dla naszej parafii cele.
