Couples may register for ONE Liturgy
Registration forms and complete instructions can
be obtained at the rectory. Registration must be
received by the Office of Worship by April 16th for
the May 4th liturgy and by April 30th for the May
18th liturgy. If you have any questions, you may
call (516) 678-5800, ext 207.
OUTREACH
Before you get too excited with the arrival of Spring, and
I don’t want to be a naysayer but, remember, April
showers bring May flowers. So, keep that umbrella
handy. Although, carrying an umbrella does beat carrying
a snow shovel.
We were very pleased at the great turn-out for our second
“Healthy Sunday” brought to us by the nurses of the
Catholic Health Services. We thank them for coming and
for their caring about our parishioners. Winter drained us
of our soup supply. If you go by our shelves, you would
find that soup (and stew) are definite winter comfort
foods. Macaroni and cheese, rice, mashed potatoes and
peanut butter and jelly are also popular requests in the
winter months. Was that too subtle? If so, I will tell you
that we are asking you for those items.Thank you from
your soon-to-be Easter Bunnies

Iglesia Santa Ana, Brentwood
La Iglesia Santa Ana se enorgullece en presentar
la internacionalmente reconocida producción LA
PASION DE CRISTO, producida por la Fundación Huellas. Esta organización provee educación, cuidados de salud y servicios a
envejecientes en el Salvador. Los fondos recaudados van directamente a los programas que
ellos sostienen. Esta producción, que es completamente en Español, relata, en canto y actuación,
la historia de la Pasión y Muerte de Cristo. No
se cobrará la admisión, pero donaciones serán
aceptadas. Miembros de la Fundación estarán
vendiendo CD’s y Videos.
ENSAYOS DEL CORO DE SEMANA SANTA
Sea parte del Coro para las Misas de la Ultima Cena
(Jueves Santo) y la Vigilia de Resurrección. Los ensayos
serán los Martes de 7:30PM a 9:00PM.

Nadal potrzebujemy osób, które chciałyby przyłączyć
się do naszego chóru, który będzie śpiewać podczas
Mszy Świętej Wieczerzy Pańskiej w Wielki Czwartek
oraz Nabożeństwa Wigilii Paschalnej w Wielką
Sobotę. Zapraszamy wszystkich do wzięcia udziału.
Próby odbędą się w dwa wtorki, w godz. od 19:30 do
21:00 w następujących terminach:
-8 kwietnia w kościele,
-15 kwietnia w audytorium.

SPOTKANIE KÓŁKA RÓŻAŃCOWEGO
Najbliższe spotkanie Kółka Rożańcowego odbędzie się
w dzisiejszą niedzielę 6 kwietnia, po Mszy św. wieczornej
w języku polskim. Początek spotkania około godz. 18:00.

DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?
“Everyone who lives and believes in me will never die . . .”
In today’s Gospel, the words of Jesus following this statement
are “Do you believe this?”
Do you really believe this? Do you?
We are only two weeks away from celebrating the
Resurrection of Jesus. But before we reach that day, we will
follow Jesus through his passion and death. Even though Jesus
had raised Lazarus from the dead, at his crucifixion no one
(except probably his mother) seemed to remember that Jesus
had prophesied his resurrection. And here he is telling us that
we too will rise again.
Next Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday, the beginning of
Holy Week. Jesus enters Jerusalem, knowing he is going to his
death. The Mass readings for the beginning of the week lead us
up to Holy Thursday. The first readings center on the
prophecies of Isaiah. “Here is my servant whom I uphold, my
chosen one with whom I am well pleased.” (Monday) The
Gospel for Monday places Jesus at a dinner in the home of
Lazarus whom he raised from the dead. When Mary anoints
Jesus’ feet, Jesus says “Let her keep this for the day of my
burial”.
On Tuesday we have the story of the beginning of the Last
Supper, when Jesus announces that one of his trusted friends
will betray him.
On Wednesday we hear the betrayal of Jesus by Judas.
For this reason this day is sometimes called “spy Wednesday”.
Back to the question posed above; if Jesus offered you
the promise he gave to the “good thief” on the cross, “this day
you will be with me in Paradise”, do you believe enough to
accept?
