New challenges in 2011/2012
The 2011/2012 school year will be another year of change for EFL teachers in Poland. Secondary level teachers will face the
challenge of preparing students for the revised gimnazjum and matura exams. For primary teachers it will be the last preparatory
school year before all 6-year-olds become first graders in 2012. How to overcome these difficulties and keep abreast of the rapid
changes in the educational system?

SESJA I – dla nauczycieli szkół podstawowych
This session will focus on teaching vocabulary and grammar to primary students. Through selected lexical and grammatical items
we will demonstrate how the spiral structure of English courses can guarantee continuity in building pupils’ knowledge of the
language in accordance with the new curriculum (nowa podstawa programowa). We will take you on a journey through primary
English to demonstrate how children’s language competence grows from level to level. We will achieve these objectives using
Fairyland and Starland Interactive Whiteboard Software. These unique teaching tools will help us present practical solutions to
common problems in teaching vocabulary and grammar to young learners.

Changes in gimnazjum exam will definitely affect teachers’ work in the coming school year. Take part in this session to learn more
about the revised gimnazjum exam and get acquainted with the updated version of our bestselling Access course. But remember –
