view of meeting thereby the formal and linguistic requirements as well as compliance with the

The texts of reviews shall be sent to authors. If the reviewer makes detailed remarks directly

knowledge arising from the reviewed article prior to publication thereof, either.
Ghostwriting firewall and guest authorship
In 2012, the publisher introduced the procedures preventing the phenomena of ghost writing
and guest authorship. The ghost writing phenomenon takes place when a person has
significantly contributed to emergence of the article and he has not revealed his share as one
of the authors or his role has not been disclosed in acknowledgements inserted in the
publication. In the case of guest authorship, the author’s share is minute or it has not taken
place at all, nonetheless he or she is an author or co-author of the publication. They are
symptoms of scientific dishonesty and an expression of lack of decency.
In order to counteract the indicated cases, the editors introduce the following procedures:




Each of authors shall sign the statement in which they indicate that the work submitted
for publication is their own work not breaching third parties’ rights.
In the case of two or more authors of a single article, the editors require disclosure of
the contribution of each of them in emergence of the publication (along with providing
the affiliation and contribution of each author as regards the concept, assumptions,
methods, etc.).
All the disclosed cases of scientific dishonesty will be disclosed, inclusive of
notification of the relevant entities, including the institution hiring the author.
They undertake to document all manifestations of scientific dishonesty.
