Congress aims to build a bridge between theory and practice in, widely understood,
processes of the design, control and management of intelligent buildings and residences.

The Objectives of NBTAD 2013 Conference
The aim of the conference is to exchange views and experiences on the use of modern
building technologies in Poland and abroad. We offer the presentation of the latest
developments in theoretical research and in design experiences, as well as a broad and

Wieliczka Salt Mine, listed in UNESCO World
Heritage List, is 10 km away from the center
Cracow. Wieliczka Salt Mine is a labyrinth of
underground corridors and chambers of the
length of 350 km, of which the 2 km are available
for exploring. The route passes through 20
chambers situated in three levels ranging from 64
to 135 meters below ground, lakes and chapels
with salt sculptures, reliefs and chandeliers.

Chapel of St. Kinga, which due to its size deserves
rather to be called an underground salt church,
has a number of magnificent underground
chapels, chambers, and statues of salt.
Warsaw Chamber is an wonderful combination of
nature and architecture. Impressive in size it had
been exploited in the nineteenth century, by
mining a total number of 20 thousand tons of salt

from it. Currently chamber Warsaw is 680 m
usable floor space.
