PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN
VIRTUS TRAINING for OLA Volunteers, will be offered on
May 22, 2013, in the Lower Church Hall from 6:45pm 9:45pm. Register on-line at www.drvc.org Virtus On-line.

information. As a reminder, all NEW parish volunteers
must have a background screening check. Forms are

ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED
Anyone 4th Grade and up who would like to become
an Altar Server is asked to call the rectory and leave
your name, grade and phone number for Deacon
Phil, at extension 29. This is a great way to become
more involved with your parish.
PARISH OUTREACH
Are you parishioners tired of hearing me rave about how
good you are? Okay. I won’t do it this week. This week I
will tell you what great children your have. Many of the
National Honor Society students from Walter G. O’Connell
High School, along with their co-advisors – Ms. Fuss and
Mrs. Raimondi – gave up their Saturday last week (a
beautiful day if you remember) to stand outside of Stop
‘n’ Shop in Amityville and collect food for the Outreach.
Not only did they stand there for over four hours and
collect the food and then load it in both advisors’ vehicles
and deliver it to the Outreach, they accomplished this with
a smile on their faces and in high spirits wanting to know
if we needed them to do anything else while they were
here. Thank you Copiague for the children you are raising.
You cannot convince me that kids today are not every bit
as good, if not better, than the kids of yesterday!

ASCENSION OF THE LORD
NURSERY SCHOOL
CHINESE AUCTION
Our Lady of the Assumption Nursery School will once again
sponsor their Chinese Auction on Friday, May 17, 2013.
Doors will open at 7:00PM. No smoking is permitted in the
Auditorium. There will be light refresments available for
purchase. Admission is $5. This admission charge also
includes a sheet of auction tickets, a door prize ticket, a
piece of cake and a cup of coffee or tea. There are many
raffles in addition to the auction, such as 32” LG LCD/TV, a
Brinkman 4 Burner Gas Grill, a Samsung Tablet, 50/50,
$100 worth of scratch off tickets, etc. We have gift
certificates from local merchants, knick knacks, books,
framed prints, floral arrangements, and many other items.
So come join us for a great time, and hopefully, take home
goodies too!

MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA
All Mother’s Day Novena Masses will be said
during the week of May 12th.

Gianna Mass for Couples Struggling
with Infertility and
Recurrent Miscarriage
On Thursday, May 16th at 6:30 p.m., The Gianna
Mass will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena
Church, 411 East 68th Street (between York and
First Ave.), Manhattan, for the intentions of those
struggling with infertility and pregnancy-related
difficulties. Time for veneration of the relics of St.
Gianna will be made available. The event is open
to the public and all are invited to attend. For

Trwają spotkania związane z kampanią ! ! !
Wszyscy parafianie zaproszeni są do udziału w krótkim
spotkaniu, na którym przedstawione zostaną szczegóły
dotyczące naszej Parafialnej Kampanii Renowacyjnej.
Podczas tych spotkań Ks. Dariusz szczegółowo
objaśniał będzie projekty, ktore trzeba wykonać i będzie
także odpowiadał na Państwa pytania.
Prosimy Państwa o przyłączenie się do nas na
spotkanie w jednym z terminów podanych poniżej
w sali pod kościołem:
Czwartek - 16 maja w godz:
od 19:30 do 20:30
Piątek - 17 maja w godz:
od 9:30 do 10:30 rano
Wtorek - 21 maja w godz:
od 14:30 do 15:30

* Przypomnienie o wpłacie oraz specjalna koperta na
wpłatę będą do Państwa wysyłane w zależności od
wybranego przez Was planu wpłat.
