St. Joseph’s Parish Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the St.
Joseph’s Parish Memorial Scholarship Fund will be
held Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 at 7:00 pm in parish
hall to elect committee members for the Memorial Fund
Committee 2016/2017 term. All Parishioners are
invited to attend. Copies of the St. Joseph’s Parish
Memorial Scholarship Fund newsletter outlining the
AGM agenda are available at the back of the church.

On Thursday, June 2nd at 6:00 pm. All members are
asked to come to the meeting.
Dear Parishioners,
From June 6th to 10th I will be away from my
pastoral duties attending a retreat held at the
Resurrection College/Manor in Waterloo. The
following week, June 13th to 17th, I am obligated by the
Provincial Superior to take part in the Provincial
Chapter. During my absence the Masses will be
celebrated by Fr. Wojciech Kuzma, Vocation Director
of the Hamilton Diocese, except for June 9th when Fr.
Phil Cook will fill up for him.
Please pray for me during those days. Fr. Adam

Ministers. Parish Office is preparing a new schedule
for summer months. Please submit your vacation dates
before June 17th.

Anniversary next year (25th, 50th etc.) are kindly asked
to come to the office during the month of June to
reserve a date for the Mass of thanksgiving. At this
time we are only accepting Mass intentions for the
couples celebrating their Wedding Anniversaries.
Requests for all other Mass intentions will be
accommodated at the end of August 2016.

Niedziela 5 czerwca godz. 11:30
Zapraszamy dzieci i młodzież z polskich szkół wraz z
nauczycielami na uroczystą Mszę św. na zakończenie
roku szkolnego. W tej Mszy św. wezmą udział również
dzieci, które w tym i zeszłym roku przystąpiły do I
Komunii św. w ich strojach pierwszokomunijnych.
Drodzy Parafianie,
Od 6 do 10 czerwca będę uczestniczył w
rekolekcjach kapłańskich w Domu zakonnym Księży
Zmartwychwstańców w Waterloo. Od 13 do 17
czerwca odbywa się tam także Kapituła Prowincjalna
Księży Zmartwychwstańców. Wszyscy kapłani naszego
Zgromadzenia zobowiązani są do uczestnictwa. W
czasie mojej nieobecności Msze święte będzie
sprawował

Intencje Mszalne na rok 2017
Pary małżeńskie, które w 2017 roku będą obchodzić
jubileuszowe rocznice ślubu i pragną zarezerwować
odpowiednią datę Mszy św., proszone są o osobiste
zgłaszanie się do kancelarii parafialnej do końca
czerwca. W tym miesiącu przyjmujemy tylko intencje
dla par małżeńskich, które będą obchodzić jubileusze.
Przyjmowanie ogólnych intencji mszalnych na przyszły
rok rozpocznie się przy końcu sierpnia br.

Parenting Tip of the Month
All children, especially young children, thrive when
parents set boundaries and expectations. Knowing what
is and is not acceptable, understanding the limits of
what is tolerable and sensing their parents are in charge
provides children with a sense of confidence and higher
self-esteem. When parents take on a leadership role
their children are calmer and the family flourishes.

Marriage Tip of the Month
Before a couple begins to parent, they first have a
relationship with each other. We know that the best gift
parents can give their children is a strong and healthy
relationship. Time together as a couple is an excellent
way to strengthen your bond – it ensures that love
continues to flourish, that you don’t lose your
connection to each other as husband and wife and
shows your children that you love spending time
together. Make spending time as a couple a priority and
you will soon see the value it has in your lives.
As we enter warmer months, I want to address the
issue of summer apparel at Mass. The majority of our
congregation dresses quite well for Mass. It is obvious
that many people, whether they are in business attire,
business-casual, or casual attire take a great deal of care
and concern to select a wardrobe that is fitting for
Mass. While many people are tastefully dressed and
put a lot of care into their appearance, some aspects of
modesty continually present a real issue for our parish
community. Revealing garments can be a serious
distraction when they become a source of temptation,
shock, or embarrassment for the onlooker. For this
reason I would ask that you put great care into selecting
modest attire for Mass. In my judgment this means that
shorts, skirts, and dresses should cover the
majority of one’s legs above the knee. Men’s shirts
should have sleeves. One should use great discretion
with regard to women’s sleeveless shirts so that a
chaste and tasteful appearance is still presented;
perhaps wearing a sweater or shawl over the shoulders.
Open-backed apparel should be avoided. In the end we
each are on a journey that sometimes expresses itself in
the clothing we wear. Let us strive to build up one
another and our community by-mirroring the light,
love, and mercy of Jesus Christ.

A very sincere “Thank You” to the parents of the
children who received their First Communion this year,
Their generous donation of $ 500.00 for new altar
servers cassocks for boys will significantly help out to
offset their cost. For a few years now, it has been a
beautiful tradition that the First Communion children,
together with their parents, donate offerings towards
purchasing a gift to beautify the Sanctuary. Last year,
the First Communion children purchased a new stand
for the new Advent candles, that match our Altar
candles and will last for years to come. I would like to
express my deep appreciation for all your wonderful
and generous support and love for St. Joseph’s Parish.

Od kilku już lat zagościła w kościele Św. Józefa w
Brantford piękna tradycja, że dzieci pierwszokomunijne wraz z rodzicami, ofiarowują „dar ołtarza”
do prezbiterium kościoła. W zeszłym roku dzieci
pierwszokomunijne ofiarowały sumę $ 780.00, a
młodzież,
która
przystąpiła
do
Sakramentu
Bierzmowania $ 675.00. Dzięki tym ofiarom
zakupiliśmy
mosiężną
podstawę
do
świec
adwentowych, które były nabyte dzięki ofierze dzieci
pierwszokomunijnych z 2014 r. W tym roku, dzieci,
które przyjęły Pierwszą Komunię, ofiarowały $ 500.00
na zakup nowych alb dla ministrantów. W tym miejscu
więc chciałbym z głębi serca podziękować dzieciom
pierwszokomunijnym i ich rodzicom za ich ofiarność,
szczodrość i dobre serca. „Bóg Zapłać” za waszą
dobroć i miłość do parafii św. Józefa. Wasze dary będą
służyć naszej parafii przez wiele lat, a pamiątka przez
was pozostawiona będzie przypominać przyszłym
pokoleniom o waszym przywiązaniu do wiary
katolickiej. Niech Bóg wam błogosławi i obdarza
wszelkimi łaskami.
Uwaga Lektorzy, Komentatorzy i Szafarze
Eucharystii. Biuro parafialne przygotowuje nowy plan
posługi na okres wakacyjny. Wszystkich, którzy będą
nieobecni w tym czasie, prosimy o poinformowanie
kancelarii parafialnej do 17 czerwca.

Modlitwy na miesiąc czerwiec
Intencja ogólna: Aby osoby w podeszłym wieku,
zepchnięte na margines i samotne znajdowały, również
w wielkich miastach, okazje do spotkania i solidarność.
Intencja misyjna: Aby seminarzyści, nowicjusze i
nowicjuszki spotykali formatorów żyjących z radością
Ewangelią, którzy mądrze przygotują ich do misji, jaką
mają pełnić.
Lato już prawie w pełni. Przypominamy wiernym, iż
przychodząc do kościoła na Msze św. i przystępując do
Komunii św. obowiązuje nas odpowiedni ubiór. Jest
strój, który nadaje się na plażę, na wycieczkę, do tańca,
czy uprawiania sportu, ale jest nieodpowiedni i
niewłaściwy do kościoła. Okażmy należyty szacunek
Bogu i jego Domowi.

W okresie letnim od 26 czerwca do 4 września
Kancelaria Parafialna będzie otwarta 3 razy w
tygodniu: we wtorek i środę od godz. 10:00 rano do
4:00 po południu oraz w czwartek od godz. 10:00
rano do 5:00 po południu.
W czasie wakacji biuletyn parafialny będzie drukowany
tylko 26 czerwca oraz 14 sierpnia. Jeśli ktoś chciałby
zamówić Mszę św. na lipiec lub sierpień, proszony jest
o osobisty kontakt z kancelarią parafialną do 24
czerwca. Kolejny biuletyn będzie wydany dopiero 11
września br.
