LET GO AND LET GOD Many twelve-step programs use the
phrase “Let go and let God.” In all their simplicity, these five words
are the heart of today’s readings. For people who struggle with addictive behavior, these words plainly remind us that we can’t manage, control, or manipulate certain areas of our lives. How many
times can we look back in our lives and find evidence of some plan
at work other than our own? These are the moments when, for
whatever reasons, we let someone greater than ourselves work the
plan. We probably didn’t even recognize at the time that we were
letting go of anything, but in retrospect, we see God’s hand and
loving presence. It is our awareness of these moments that gives us
the courage and initiative to let go again later on. It is this courage
and initiative that are highlighted in today’s readings. We come to

Dear Friends!
Autumn began a few days ago, but God still graces us with wonderful sunny weather, which allows for the construction work on the church roof to come to an end.
Thanks to your donations, the renovation of the associate priests housing in the rectory is finished. Now our priests
have basic, yet comfortable conditions to live, work and rest.
October is already here, and as you know, in the tradition of the Catholic Church it is a month dedicated to the
prayer of the Rosary. The Rosary is a very simple prayer yet profound in its content as the summary of the Gospel. I invite all of you to pray the Rosary in our church and would like to thank all parishioners from the group, which prays the
rosary every day in English after the 8:30 a.m. Mass, for their beautiful example.
Each year in October the Archdiocese of Chicago asks us to conduct an actual account of the parishioners attending
the Holy Masses. Therefore, during Sunday services ushers will count the faithful. This is needed for a statistical data
for our Diocese and our parish.
Next Tuesday, October 4th, we will celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Blessing of the pets and their owners will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot by the statue of St. Francis.
Please remember about attending the special installation Mass the next Saturday (October 8th at 5:00 pm), and our
first parish October Fest-Harvest Day (October 16th, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Everyone is welcome!
In the coming days and weeks, I will share with you some plans for the future of our parish, our community, and
the Church. As always, I hope for your kindness, generosity, and understanding.

Drodzy Parafianie!
Kilka dni temu rozpoczęliśmy kalendarzową jesień. Pan Bóg wciąż obdarza nas wspaniałą słoneczną
pogodą, dzięki której nasze prace remontowe na dachu zbliżają się powoli do końca. Również remont
mieszkań dla księży wikariuszy na plebanii został zakończony. To dzięki waszym ofiarom udało się te prace
na plebanii tak szybko zakończyć. Nasi księża wikariusze mają teraz godziwe i podstawowe warunki do
mieszkania, pracy i wypoczynku.
Rozpoczęliśmy miesiąc październik, który w tradycji Kościoła Katolickiego poświęcony jest modlitwie
różańcowej. Różaniec jest modlitwą bardzo prostą, a jednocześnie głęboką w swojej treści, jest streszczeniem
Ewangelii. Zapraszam was wszystkich do wspólnej modlitwy różańcowej w naszym kościele w dni
powszednie (poniedziałek, środa, piątek o godz. 6:30 popołudniu) lub w niedzielę przed Mszą Świętą o godz.
10:30 rano. Grupie angielskojęzycznej dziękuje za piękny przykład modlitwy różańcowej odmawianej
codziennie po rannych Mszach Świętych.
Każdego roku w miesiącu październiku odbywa się w naszej Archidiecezji Chicago liczenie wiernych.
W czasie niedzielnych nabożeństw nasi marszałkowie mają dodatkowe zadanie dokładnego policzenia
wiernych. Jest to potrzebne do danych statystycznych dla naszej Diecezji i naszej parafii.
W najbliższy wtorek 4 października obchodzić będziemy wspomnienie liturgiczne św. Franciszka
z Asyżu. O godz. 3:00 popołudniu koło figury św. Franciszka (przy wejściu do szkoły od strony parkingu)
odbędzie się błogosławieństwo właścicieli zwierzaków domowych.
Pamiętajcie także o specjalnej Mszy Świętej instalacyjnej w następną sobotę (8 października) o godz.
5:00 po południu oraz o naszym pierwszym parafialnym Oktoberfest-Harvest Day (16 października) od godz.
12:00 do 6:00 popołudniu. Wszystkich bardzo serdecznie zapraszamy!!!
W najbliższych dniach i tygodniach podzielę się także z wami naszymi nowymi planami na przyszłość
w naszej wspólnocie parafialnej i w kościele. Liczę jak zawsze na waszą życzliwość, dobroć, hojność
i wszelkie zrozumienie.

W programie min. smaczne jedzenie, grilowanie, napoje,
piwo, dobra muzyka (DJ-ks. Lesław), ślizgawki i zabawy
dla dzieci. Serdecznie zapraszamy z
całymi rodzinami! Może ktoś z was
chciałby nam udostępnić za
niewielką odpłatą lub za darmo takie
nadmuchiwane ślizgawki
i trampoliny (...) Poszukujemy
ofiarodawców (kiełbasa, steaki,
