Logistics center is an object with spatial infrastructure and organization, which are carrying out logistic services associated with receiving, storage and distribution of goods and associated services provided by independent with respect to the sender or recipient operators. 8 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) LOGISTICS CENTERS IN POLAND There are four logistic centres in Poland that meet Western European standards. Their location resulted from local initiatives only, and their development was not supported by the state in the systematic way. That is why their organisations, level of development and availability of basic logistic infrastructure components much differs from each other. • Wielkopolskie Centrum Logistyczne Konin–Stare Miasto S.A., • Śląskie Centrum Logistyki S.A. w Gliwicach, • Euroterminal Sławków Sp. z o.o., • Centrum Logistyczno Inwestycyjne Poznań (CLIP Logistics Sp. z o.o.). The existing centres neither cooperate with each other, nor undertake initiatives for development of the national intermodal logistic network. 9 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) LOGISTICS CENTERS IN POLAND Existing logistic centres Most advanced plans of logistic centre development Plans with no implementation structure International transportation corridors: Source: Own study – map: http:// www.pr.pkp.pl/ Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) 10 CONTAINER TERMINALS IN POLAND No 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 Location 2 Gliwice Kontenerowa Kobylnica near Poznań Mława Warszawa Praga Małaszewicze Żurawica Province 3 Śląskie Wielkopolskie Mazowieckie Mazowieckie Lubelskie Podkarpackie 7 Sławków Śląskie 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Tychy Gądki near Poznań Pruszków Wrocław Dąbrowa Górnicza Warszaw Główna Towarowa Łódź Olechów Kraków Krzesławice Śląskie Wielkopolskie Mazowieckie Dolnośląskie Śląskie Mazowieckie Łódzkie Małopolskie Owner 4 Cargosped Sp. z o.o. The reconstruction of the national road no. 11 (Poznań – Kórnik section) to bring its parameters up to those of the fast traffic road S11 was completed in June 2008. As part of the reconstruction project, the investor provided convenient access between the terminal and the S11 road, and then to all required destinations. Access to the terminal in Kobylnica does not meet the needs of multi-ton cargo, while container transport is in conflict with normal traffic taking place along the local road used by the area’s residents. CLIP is situated next to the national road no. 92 (Poznań – Konin) and 12 km from A2 Berlin – Warsaw route. CLiP is located in trans European railway corridor E20 Paris – Moscow. 16 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) CONTAINER TERMINALS IN POZNAŃ AGLOMERATION CARGOSPED Antwerp Rotterdam Duisburg Ludwigshafen Ruhland Source: Own study, map: www.mapakonturowa.pl , 2012-01-05. 17 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) POLZUG TRANSPORT ROUTES 18 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) POLZUG TRANSPORT ROUTES POLZUG Intermodal only transports FCL (Full Container Load) containers and swap bodies of the following sizes and types: • 20', 30', 40' and 45' containers • Swap bodies • Bulk containers • Tank containers • Flatracks (in-gauge) • Open-top containers (in-gauge) • High cube containers • Hazardous goods in Poland (Class 1.3 G and F, 1.4 G and F, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9) On request: • Tip chassis in Poland • Reefer containers • Valuable cargo above a certain merchandise value • Transport of hazardous goods to CIS countries 19 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) KOBYLNICA TERMINAL TRANSPORT ROUTES 20 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) SELECTED CARGO TRANSPORT • Rotterdam - Swarzędz – CLIP: (operator: intermodal carrier ERS): teaTwinings • CLIP – Germany: sugar • CLIP – Germany: car battery • Kobylnica – Wałbrzych – Kobylnica – Duisburg (D): electrode coke • Austria – Kobylnica – Swarzędz: furniture fittings 21 Part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) CONTAINER TERMINAL IN GĄDKI (CONTAINER HUB POLZUG INTERMODAL POLSKA SP.
