która odbędzie się w dniach 8 – 10 listopada 2016 r.

Konferencje z tego cyklu weszły na stałe do kalendarza urządzanych w Polsce, co dwa lata spotkań
naukowo-technicznych poświęconych najnowszym zagadnieniom i osiągnięciom dotyczących technologii
farb i lakierów.
Celem Konferencji jest nawiązanie oraz poszerzenie współpracy między specjalistami z Europy
Środkowej, Wschodniej i Zachodniej. Konferencja odbędzie się w Centrum Wystawienniczym w
Sosnowcu. W poprzedniej Konferencji ACT’14 w Sosnowcu wzięło udział około 120 uczestników z
15 krajów.
Poza prezentacją najnowszych osiągnięć i trendów technicznych, Konferencja pozwoli na nawiązanie
kontaktów sprzyjających korzystnej współpracy pomiędzy uczestnikami przybyłymi w większości z
Europy.
Komitet Organizacyjny Konferencji „Advances in Coatings Technology – ACT '16” zaprasza
prelegentów ze znaczących laboratoriów i przedsiębiorstw, którzy pragną zaprezentować swoje
najnowsze osiągnięcia w dziedzinie farb i lakierów.
W czasie Konferencji prezentowane będą referaty oraz plakaty przez specjalistów reprezentujących
producentów surowców do farb, wytwórców farb oraz aparatury do ich produkcji, jak również
przedstawicieli środowisk akademickich i badawczo-rozwojowych.
W latach ubiegłych obserwowano zrównoważoną ilość wystąpień pochodzących z przemysłu oraz
ośrodków akademickich i naukowo-badawczych.

Zapraszamy do wzięcia udziału w konferencji „Advances in Coatings Technology – ACT '16”
i zaprezentowania swoich prac w postaci referatów lub posterów w obszarze tematycznym obejmującym:

- żywice oraz ich syntezę (nowe polimery, organiczno-nieorganiczne systemy hybrydowe,

Wskazówki dla Autorów / Osób wygłaszających referat (prezentujących plakat)
1. Konferencja prowadzona będzie w języku angielskim i polskim z symultanicznym tłumaczeniem
referatów i dyskusji.
2. Czas prezentacji wynosi ok. 20 minut.
3. Autorzy proszeni są o dostarczenie w terminie do 31 maja 2016 r.:
- tytułu referatu (plakatu) w języku angielskim i polskim,
- skrótu referatu (plakatu), do 120 słów w języku angielskim,
- biografii osoby wygłaszającej referat, do 50 słów w języku angielskim.
4. Tekst referatu (artykułu będącego przedmiotem plakatu) w j. angielskim do materiałów
konferencyjnych do 10 stron formatu A-4, pisany czcionką 12 Times New Roman powinien zostać
dostarczony w terminie do 31 sierpnia 2016 r. Dla osób zainteresowanych będzie możliwość
opublikowania referatu w wydawanym przez Instytut dwumiesięczniku „Farby i Lakiery”.
5. Obniżona opłata konferencyjna dla osoby wygłaszającej referat lub prezentującej plakat
naukowy wynosi 1000 zł netto + 23 % VAT. Opłata ta obejmuje: materiały konferencyjne
zawierające treść referatów, listę delegatów i firm biorących udział w Konferencji, obiady,
uroczystą kolację, przerwy na kawę, parking na terenie Expo Silesia.
6. Istnieje możliwość promocji firmy w postaci: plakatu reklamowego, rozprowadzenia materiałów
promocyjnych wraz z materiałami konferencyjnymi oraz stolika promocyjnego przed salą
konferencyjną.

Scientific – Technical Conference for paints entitled
ADVANCES IN COATINGS TECHNOLOGY
The ACT Conference is an established event, which was launched in 1995 and has continued to take
place every two years. Focusing on the latest topics and developments concerning paint technology, the
conference is designed to increase the dialogue among Central, East – and West – European paint specialists.
The ACT '16 Conference will be held in an Exhibition Centre in Sosnowiec, which is located very close
to Katowice. During the last ACT '14 event held in Sosnowiec about 120 delegates from 15 countries
participated in the Conference.
As well as presenting the latest technical innovations and trends, the Conference promotes business
contacts among participants mainly from Europe. The coatings industry in Central and Eastern Europe
offers a significant opportunity for the suppliers of raw materials, new technologies, machines and
equipment. Poland is well situated as a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe and its position aids
co-operation and the successful development of paint industry to the benefit of everyone.
As an international and unique meeting, the Conference represents a great opportunity for industry and
academia to exchange and establish new contacts and acquire new scientific and technical knowledge. The
ACT '16 Organising Committee invites speakers who are specialists from significant laboratories and
companies who will focus on their newest achievements in coatings, thereby bringing together scientists
and engineers from material producers, paint makers, machinery, and manufacturers.

Notes for Authors / Speakers
1. Papers (posters) should be of a high scientific and technical standard.
2. The Conference will be conducted in the English and Polish language. Both presentation of papers
and discussions will be interpreted simultaneously into Polish/English.
3. The oral presentation will be approximately 20 minutes.
4. The deadline for submitting the Title and Abstract of each paper or poster (max. 120 words in
English) as well as a short biography of the Speaker (max. 50 words in English) is 31 May 2016.
5. All papers (posters) accepted for presentation should be submitted in full (for inclusion in the
Conference Proceedings) in English – 10 pages max, size A-4, preferably Times 12 pts – in an
electronic format by 31 August 2016 to ACT '16 Organising Committee. For interested Authors,
there will be a possibility of publishing the paper in Institute’s magazine “Paints and Varnishes”.
6. The special reduced fee for Speakers is 300 Euro.
The fee includes:
- A full set of Conference Proceedings.
- A list of delegates and participating companies.
- Coffee/tea and lunches during the Conference.
- Conference Dinner.
The reduced fee does not apply to co-authors.
7. Promotion in the form of distribution of promotion materials together with the Conference
Proceedings, promotion poster or a desk in front of the Conference Hall will be possible for
interested Companies.
